I used to own a Cragar/471 blower and if memories serves me correct i think that they had collaborated with Mr.Gasket but i'm not positive,i think i read that in a popular book about superchargers! The same book you see advertisedin all the aftermaket supply warehouses!

Awesome post Kev! I really appreciate it! I never realized how much stuff Cragar offered. I knew you had a pedal in your collection. Any other Cragar stuff?

Here's an original CRAGAR ohv head on a B block. The intake is a rare Stromberg-Bendix downdraft that was sold through Ford dealers in the early thirties.

Kev's post shows steering wheels. I have a gold metalflake steering wheel with the Cragar logo on my '39. No idea about it's vintage though. Mike

  7. Those are Girling calipers. Commonly used on lots of Euro stuff in the '60's. They look the same as the ones on my old 1965 Sunbeam Tiger. There used to be a conversion in the early 70's that used Volvo brakes, which probably also used Girling stuff too. The pads are most likely common to many makes late 60's to early 70's, so take those pads to the Import store for a comparison.

Thanks a bunch for posting those catalog scans. I was trying to figure out what year my Cragar brake set-up was offered. There it is on the back cover. They show an Airheart caliper, but that's the same rotor as mine, mated to a Ford hub.

    Clip on's wow,,those are old

  22. I think they made blower stuff.
The engine in my jeep pickup is held in and adapted to the tranny by an old Craiger engine swap kit.
They pretty much marketed one of everything and as the market dwindled for specific parts they dropped them.

How old is this thread ! :) Thats ok, there's some great info in here!

    I just found a Cragar bellhousing #307 the 1961 catalog say's its for "a 55-61 Chevy (also 348)"

Is this supposed to fit all small block chevys being mated up to the ford Flathead transmissions?

Also the catalog lists them for $44 wondering what a fair offer would be to purchase it.

sorry about the crappy pictures; all I had was my cellphone camera:eek:

Resurrecting an old thread. Here is my Model a Ford Cragar valve cover. Hard to get good pics due to the intake and exhaust manifolds in the way.

Wheels can make or break the look of most cars but, to me the Cragar S/S wheels look great on dam near every car as long as the right size is chosen.
