So if I pay either venue I can do both for one price ...

 

Nitrofc we are working out the admission situation as we speak... it is definately going to be confusing but we will keep you guys posted as we figure it out...

 

Hopefully ill be able to get down there without a problem at the end of the month.

 

Let me say this as well. I have met some of the most amazing people at Motor Speedway already. Neighbors, Hambers, bikers, hot rodders, etc.

Take Dave in this pic for instance... what a guy. I told him I had no money for advertising, and you think we would??? He offered me like a 100 beans for the cause, I didn't take it, but what a guy! I'm so happy I met Dave, he gets it! Many other guys that dig and build cars here that also get it. Seems one way or another, we all need to stick together.

My 17 year old son has been busting his ass for the last 2 months trying to get his Caddy ready for this show, but that ain't happenin'. We'll bring the truck down instead, at least we can beat it down the track a couple times.

We need a few more events like this here in the North East and I'm totally with you about getting the kids involved. We'll talk to you Saturday evening about how we can give you some help....

 

Everyone should print out the flyers for the event and hand them out at the local cruise night and car shows. Don't just lay them in the cars. Hand the flyers directly to the people and talk to them. Explain what the event is about. We all can do this!!!!!

I've got a further question...
If we come up and run Saturday, and stay the night for Sunday, how does that work?
Also, How does it work out for those of us with rain date tickets from last years Funny Car Reunion?
We were just planning on running the eighth Saturday, and a little bit Sunday...and then watching the Reunion, because its a fun show to spectate.
Let me know what options we have there....

I'll be there on the 25th, and I'm trying to get a few of my friends from Long Island to come down and race also.

 

HELLO, i showed up with my wife and brother at 5:15 and there was no racing going on by then..... but we had a good time .
we came down from north west jersey and stayed for a couple hours. talked to some cool people.
MIKE "xxwelderxx" handed me a flyer on thursday at the local cruise night. i guess the event times were screwed up as the website said 5:00 and the phone said 10:00 am. i will try to get there the next show,,,
i too, really hope this works for you guys. good luck. maybe run the ad's as a racing and car show event. get some guy's to throw some flames, or muffler raps as i saw harry doing.
just trying to help with ideas. GOOD LUCK and i will try to spread the word.

 

My thoughts exactly. I pass by a gas station in clark on my way to work everyday that has a 50ish Custom chevy out front and a 50ish Buick in the works. I admit I am laxed on stopping sooner but will do tomorrow armed with flyers.

I also see some gatherings on Fri on the way home that have one or two cars meeting the criteria. Again I admit after fighting traffic on the way home on a Friday I just want to get home but I will make it my mission to stop by.

Not sure if my towns, Freehold, cruise night is gonna happen before the 25th since it's a long month but maybe I can pass out some for the next show. I know I have seen a couple of the cars from Motor Speedway there in the past.

I also have a couple buddies that keep telling me next time, well fellas this is the time and they have enough notice so hopefully I will bring 2 or 3 with me.

I hope everything works itself out cause I am tired of saying man I wish I lived in Cali with all these great hot rods! and vintage tin just laying around.

For everyone who keeps saying they will come out NEXT time... one of these days there might not be a next time... so dont miss out! Bring young and old... do it for the kids...

and dont forget the facebook group either... Its new, its hip, and all of the kids are doin it! if you have a facebook, join our group! We have allof our event times and dates displayed clearly and we send out periodic updates to members...

Me too!!!!! Got a cool surprise coming.

 

Had another great time on Saturday. Great people... it's impossible not to have a blast. The last two times, fiends who are not into cars came along and left wanting to build something! Thanks again to Mel and the Team. Hope to see some new faces on the 25th.
