Lexus brandy wine. Just the roof so far. Now have to wet sand again then clear one more time.....then cut and polish. This sh!t is no joke. Whoever said painting a car is easy, is smoking crack.[IMG]

Nice job. Will the body be the same color as the top?

If so, why not paint it all at one time?

If not, what color will it be?

With the roof only painted, it would be easier to strip off , if I did like the paint. But its all thumbs up. The car will be fully paint brandy wine color, and under the swoop it will be silver. The roof was sprayied on a black base, And the bottom will be a siver base. This will give a lighter flop. This paint is a 4 stage..it looks like a deep candy.

Did I ever show the trunk? Check it out, ready for the moon. NASA cleared for takeoff.

Holy Shit! Damn that thing looks clean. I admit, while going through the past 3 pages, I was floored with it bare metal. I think I would have stopped there and just clear coated it to show off the precious metal. But the flat black and brandy wine looks killed and very unique. Keep it clean!

A club member cuts glass. He said if he told me the secret, he would have to kill me. All I know is its a big deal and if he cracks it you have to start over. He got this one first time. The old man has skills.

is that 4 1/2 vertical inches or 4 1/2 on the A post?

any problems realigning the A posts? the bottom needs to shrink or the top needs to stretch, what did you do?

also how much would you say you took out of the B post, vertically?

    thanks.

4 1/2 from the A post. Ihad to relief cut the bottom and top of the a post. But this is the trick. Cut the buttom one while the roof is off. Place the roof back on then tack, then cut top of post. This will keep the top and post from floping around. Since I only cut 4 1/2 from top I didn't have to shrink the top or add. If you go any lower with the roof the body will be to wide, it will look like a pinhead.
