Stop being a pussy and weld that bitch. Fuck just drink a 6 pack and let poo and max lick the slober off your face! LOL Yea you know you'll wake up from a drunkin stooper and poo saying "Hey! have you seen my baby?"
Yeah, welding on a hot day makes you question your sanity. I did a bunch of cast aluminum oil tanks today, plus had to machine a bunch of prototype parts. BUT, 90 degrees in Santa Cruz beats 110 degrees and 90% humidity in St. Louis where I grew up. Shop doors open, music turned up, livin' the dream
SHIIIIIT! I blow glass [not ass] for a livin, and then go in the garage and work on my shit box. 114 here today, and the heat is not goin to end soon. people always ask how can i stand it, but thats what you gotta do to get shit done! and right now i want another hot rod more than ever!
Oh wow sounds like to me your building your won sweet cherry pie. Hey by the way the 80s called and they want there album collection back
Sorry to offend Bobby Brown = Get some dental work and a REAL JOB! If I coasted like you all day, shit, sky's the limit.......and i could be Coors' powered all day long! BUT- Gotta keep peep's like you safe. And you know WHAT that is! Tell mama I said your full of it,and hope you put slag in your sock!
Two things I told my son about welding. In the summer its fricken hot and in the winter its fricken cold.
Yes, a broken upper A arm mount on one of them Oldsmobile S10 Blazers. All greasy as fuck, and rounded off bolt heads, a real POS. Hot as shit here too, 100 degrees, and 95 percent humidity...
Welded for about 3 hours today 103 here. My shop at home now thats a different story. Its constantly 125+ with all of the glass blowing equipment torches and kilns running.
i dont know what to say but do u get a breazze through your shops ?? i found that watering the concreate or asphalt realy helps cool things down just in front of the doors
over 100 up here today, couldnt do shit considering my garage has no air. Im a night person during the summer...
welded for about 3 hours, putting a 53 chevy car dash in a 50 chevy pickup. its only in the high 70s here in ct.
I did a little in the evening after work. I was testing the new (new to me but actually freakin' old) welder. I ran a few beads with it over in a corner of the garage. No air circulating at all. It had already cooled down to about 100 by then. Frustrating mixture of heat and finding that the post flow timer and the High Frequency are both crap on the machine! Blah!
a little sunscreen and you'll have that tanning bed look. And its not only free ...your getting paid to have that tan.
Im with Tinman over 110, tig, mig, plasma, and the torch with a rosebud all in one day. I got a bunch of work done but I was worked over.
Ok then try and blow some paint, see if that comes out any better! Professional Steamfitters deal with heat all the time.
In houston, the shop is around 110-115 with 80% humdity ever summer. This year is no different, so we are installing new insulation and a/c. We couldn't make it without it. It should be finish next week, god willing and the creek don't rise. -Saint
A lil cooler today- I was just bitchin' cause i cant avoid welding right now on the car-where i'm at now. I know it's a hot mo-fo and this is what WE DO! Dr.Phil was bizzee,so I bitched here. Besides-I'de kick him in the nuts just for fun,and probably spit on him(for fun also). You guys let me know what is real,so crying is over, and the sweat workout continues.......
I,m here with tinman and gregaz - didn't weld yesterday, but ran my louver press for a couple of hours. 116 was the official temp here yesterday, but lots hotter in the shop! We had a break in the weather today though, it's only 107 ! Gonna finish this post and go out and weld a bit now that it's cooled down a bit. By the way, when you see a temp posted for Phoenix, remember that it's in the shade !!!
Well, I havent done much welding the last couple of days, but my students have. Its been 104 in the shop, and who knows how hot in their booths. This is when they figure out if they really want to be a welder or not. Good news is nobody complains when it is time to go in the classroom to do lecture.
i did some welding. unfortunately it was brazing copper in a closed up attic. i install heat and air. the attics were 125 before i fired up the torch. can't be good for you. i end up delerious up there singing like pavaroti. and i don't have anything cool to show for it. except a check!!
