Gary Gabelich was clearly a land speed record holder, and he drove a twin Chevy dragster, but it was the Hartzler and Steiner car, not the Freight Train...is this who you are thinking of?

Craig Breedlove drove the "Train" a couple of times....as did Billy Scott and Tom McEwen

What 1951 American car had no glove box and no trunk lid?

Disregard that last post, I was trying to come up with cars in my head and they most likely didn't produce cars here at that time. My next guess would be Henry J or Allstate.

Yes, Henry J! (and Sears Allstate for the matter.)

I knew the early ones didn't have trunks, but I wasn't sure about the glove box part.

What American car from the early fifties was dropped from production but came back for the 1958 model year (with some minor styling changes) and sold well for the company?

Mid-late '50s, if you raced NASCAR with a ZipperTop, what made the car unique?

  19. This thread is seriously ****ed. We need some organisation here guys.
Lets try to use the ONLY rule that Larry posted up,
"who ever answers the question posts the next question"
It will make it easier, I know this place is full of information and your all itching to use it but for crying out loud this just aint working!

    Doc.

PS, Not all Kamikazes wore a helmet, that was a latter addition. The pilot had to survive long enough to guide the aircraft into the target. They were loosing too many aircraft before they could hit the target due to pilot mortality rates.
Every measure of pilot survivability they could manage was added, the most elaborate was a hard leather shell helmet.

Did he do an edit? Cause I don't see it. It's a good rule though, but do we wait for the guy that posted the question to climb out of bed or get off work to tell him he's correct?

NASCAR ZipperTop was not vinyl top. It was more involved, and circa 1957.

Relax a bit Mate, it's a trivia game. These boards are fun but important not to try and be a control freak on every thread.
    :D
