    Hey,

    I'm havin' a bout of C.R.A.F.T.........

was this car and the one Von Franco did a killer painting of ( The Maze) one and the same? Did The Maze ever really exist, or have the fumes finely polished me off?

    Thanx,

I saw that car pulling out of the L.A.R.S. this year. It caught my eye, but I thought it was a recent build.

"The Maze" was a very real car, but it was a '57.

Rikster's site has more information and many pictures, including this one.

Where is this car? My dad built the car originally and I would like to see it and possibly get my hands on it. Can someone here get me in contact with the current owner. I went to the Car Kulture Deluxe site but I can't find it one there.
The buttons on the side were made on a lathe by my dad and I don't remember the body and paint details but I can find out! My mom (who is not the girl in the picture) remembers every little detail about the car. Especially when he brought it home brand new and tore it apart to do what he did. Awesome!

  18. That sidetrim is bad ass. Different doesn't have to be ugly. Do the seats remind anyone else of toilelts though? hahaha I'd still love to own that car!! And I wouldn't change a thing

Send who a PM? Who is the owner?
I just talked to my mom about this one. Brings back some memories for everyone. Price is probably way out of reach but I would like to see it anyway and keep tabs on it. Maybe I can buy it back when it's ready for the next restoration.

According to my mom- Larry Watson didn't paint the car but was very involved and may have painted or repainted a part of it. It was either my dad, Art Leonard or Bud Lehner that did the paint. A lot of the other information is pretty accurate. Oh, except my dad spelled his name "Johnnie". Rod & Custom screwed that one up and the car has been called Johnny Taylor's......ever since. I also like the original knock-off/hubcap combo.

Thats amazing! Talk to Scripps (Scott) on here. I spoke with him a few months ago about the car and he knows who to put you in contact with. Good luck!

Do you have any photos of the car from when your dad had it? Build shots would be great, also I would love to see a picture of him with it from back then.

    Thanks!

  27. Sorry it's not going to work out, Greg. If you do go to see the car, get a picture of yourself with the car. That would be one for the family album. Oh and welcome to the HAMB. I think you've already seen how much fun this place can be......Don.

I didn't know your dad, I'm just a huge fan of his car. I did get to know Bud Lehner a bit a few years ago, and he told me about the rivalry your dad's car had with the Buddha Buggy.

    Great pictures!!!!!!
