Scott not all in MN I just got one from out of your Hood. Wow that is one fine body ,so what's the plans? and no patch panel time? You'll have extra time on your hands now to polish up the wheels

The Deluxe (cheaper) 49 Fords had a 16" wheel.

We couldn't wait to get 15's on the car and no one wanted the 16's so they got tossed . . . which probably accounts for their rarity.

5" x 15" sounds like 50 Ford up to perhaps 56 or so.

Depending on hub size you may be able to find a 5" x 15" - 4 1/2" pattern wheel from an early Econoline.
A friend gave me a set from an Econoline he was stripping, but the hub bore was too small to use with modern disc brakes or 9" axle hub registers.

I did give them to a pal and he told me they'd work fine on his 50 Ford coupe.

One fwiw is the early Mustang 14" wheels were a bolt-on to the 50 Ford on all four corners as well as on the front 11" brakes from a 53 Ford station wagon.
And the sturdier rear axle with it's 11" brakes from the same wagon.

Lower gears to boot, 4.27 with overdrive and the regular cars had a 4.10 with overdrive.

The early Mustang wheels were 6" wide I'm fairly sure.

Later T-Bird (four p*** models) had 7" x 14" wheels with the 4 1/2" pattern.
They were the "hot" setup for a while.

Give it a couple of months and if you can't find one, there are a couple of junkyards here with a secret stash and for one, a secret location and both have quite a few 50's era cars.
The backspace measurement would be handy.

It's only 107* F here today and 102 to 107 predicted for perhaps another week.

Anyway I could check for you, but the yards know what they have and charge accordingly....
