if you look at his tires they are not spinning and there are no marks on the ground. i know greg very well and it looks to me that the car is loaded up on the plugs. lets not start pointing fingers

  12. Well, that was interesting. I like our once a month deal with the VNCa better. At least we did some actual cruising. This was standing around in the Ralphs parking lot looking at each other. I'll wait 'til Aug. 12th.

yep, tonight was a lawn chair event. a few nice cars, but i'm glad i only live a few blocks away. i would not be happy if i drove a distance for that small turn out in the ralphs lot.

Yeah, it just didn't pull the large numbers like the VNC cruise. All that with no action too. I can't wait for Aug. 12th!!!

    Thanks for the warning.....
    That's a city road work special...remove 6" of a/c and ramp it's edges at 45 degrees.

Overall the Blvd is in pretty good shape though.

  16. So, the flyer said 20th annual for last night's "thing". A few things come to mind. Why hasn't ANYONE heard of it in the 19 yrs prior to last night? Where was this Mike Shaw? And where were all Mike Shaw's followers? I'm gonna guess that 90% of what showed there last night was from right here on the HAMB, and not from Mike Shaw's efforts:confused:

The pulled pork at the Ranch House was pretty good though

I don't think that there is a Mike Shaw. And that damn sure wasn't a 20th annual anything. I can't believe that in 20 yrears that cruise hasn't grown past what, 20 cars?

Yeah I'll hit the Ranch House again.

Sounds like the place that Rand and I visited on the first VNB cruise. Good BBQ!!! If memory serves me right, I had the pulled pork sandwich too. We've been going to the 4n20 lately. They have pretty good food also. I had REAL fried chicken and a big piece of coconut cream pie on Saturday night's cruise! That's the stuff that dreams are made of.....

PS: I think that I still have a piece of lard stuck in my right ventricle.....

  28. I don't know. My plan is to eat dinner on the way to the cruise, but still on the Blvd. around 5ish, and maybe snack @ Jack's later on. Also, I hear good things about La Fogata Mexican Food on the East side of the Blvd a bit South of Rydell's lot. So, I'll prolly check that out, so I get a "sampling" of Van Nuys dining:D
