  7. Well this shot is a little spooky. I drive thru Elwood sometimes on my way to Indy. Thinking the building in the background of this shot is still readily visible along Hwy 37 near Elwood.:D

This was the first sign I recall when I moved to Phoenix. I got stationed here in 1969 and went down to "auto alley" (Camelback Rd.) looking for transportation and bought a used '60 Chevy at this dealership.

  11. When in Los Angeles, check out MONA - the Museum Of Neon Art. Very Cool. And take their Neon Cruise - an evening ride in a double decker bus that goes past all of LA's best neon signage.

  18. There is some amazing stuff posted here. Wow.

The Lonnie's sign recently had the neon holes plugged & was repainted. Wish I had gotten a better pic before they did it.

The Red Moon sign hung over an old gas station in Paris, TN. A friend bought it & had it mounted in the side of his garage. The white letters are milk glass & it lights up. Not much to look at in the daylight (he "over-restored" it back before anyone had any appreciation for a little patina) but it is gorgeous at night.
