  6. Well, still doing some mock up. I have an orriginal 4" dropped axle, so I threw it together
"loosley" to see what it'll look like. This is with a full stock spring, non reverse eyes. I want to car to sit kinnda high, so I think with the reverse eyed spring and some weight up front it'll sit about right. Rear still needs to go down a bit. Note I had to use a worthless 32 wishbone on this mockup :D

  7. HA! It aint easy or fast. This will be quite a challange for me, it's not my typical "bolt together" type build. We'll see how it goes :D

I actually think that the height that it's at right now is perfect. I wouldn't even bother with reversing the eyes and changing springs. The weight of the engine will bring it down an inch or two and that will be enough or perhaps a bit to much haha!!!

I'm loving those clean cuts on the front frame horns.;)

I would use a porta-power. You want to try to reverse what happened to it. The top part of the drivers door post needs to come out and possibly up. Will need to fab up something to push against as the other post won't take the strain. Maybe even push from the bottom of the passenger post to the top of the drivers post. Leave the wood in above the door and all bolted together and you'll get 80-90 percent of the damage out. When its almost all pushed out and with the jack in tension can then hit the ridge running parallel to the top opening with a 3 or 5lb sledge letting the wieght do the work or a slap hammer to help push the ridge down as you are pushing. Don't waste your time with small hammers here and don't overpower a large one.

  11. You like those, huh? I did that myself. I may rig up a plow attachment to it for those long snowy NW winters ;)

  12. Again, didn't get to work on it much tonight, but got something done. There was a piece of metal scabbed over the battery hole in the floor, so I grabbed the chisel and hammer, chipped it out and saw this! What the hell is it? Fuel pump??

NO, I'm sure that it's an early XK-12 space modulator!!!!!

  15. I thought it was a little vault full of money...but no luck. I havn't had time to mess with it yet, anyone else have a guess?

  16. OH GLORIOUS DAY!! I bought this 33 coupe door from Hamber RilleCustoms a while ago, and came home today and it was waiting form me! I popped it up on the car, looks awesome! First time I've had a door on this thing, makes it look a little better! Now I'm really stoked. If I could only find a decent 33 COUPE passanger side door...

Early Stewart Warner fuel pump same as in my roadster. Good low pressure pump 97's. Stick 6 volts to it and see if it stiil works. You find the cool stuff without even looking for it.

Chris, the door looks good! I'll keep my eye out for you for the pass. door in my search for stuff on my '33.

  23. Thanks Bob, I'll get it off and see what it looks like. Pretty rusty but you never know :D What vintage are these?

  24. Thanks, I have two 4 door passanager side doors...aside from the tops being a little off, I have also heard that they are different in the upper belt line area and the thickness of the door jam area. Now that I have an actual coupe door I can do some comparing, and if all said is true, then I'd really want a coupe door. Anyone have any input on this?

Chris, both my doors are from a 4dr, I grafted my 5w door tops onto 4dr bottoms. Some genius with a high-powered rifle used the lowers for target practice!! If there are other differences I'm too stoopid to have noticed them......Pics in my album, though nothing close up.

I'll start looking for the passenger door Chris. That driver side really brought a new life to the car. I makes it look like half the battle has just been one.

I hope that my new quarter that I got for my '32 does the same....but then again, I am going to need another quarter bottoms of doors firewall etc so I think your on a way better path. Looks awesome!!!
