Projects The best 6 hours of my Deuce's life (or, NO MORE UGLY FLAMES)

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Groucho, Jul 22, 2009.

  1. AAANNND, the car gets a name......."Liberace":D:eek:

  2. Very true. Sarcasm, or much of anything else is really hard to get across on a keyboard

Leopard spot flames:eek:??? I haven't seen a lot of gold cars on the HAMB, really looks nice. Good idea to change the "puffy" tires too.
I kinda liked the Wench instead of Liberace. As in "Bring me my wench'!!

Nice color.... needs some clear :) A 371 Olds would look "golden" in there with a blower or some J-2 tripower.

dosen't look like the same car, thats killer

  24. OK, to answer the motor question. I know this will upset many of you, BUT, I am building it for "ME".............
So, after a reasonable amount of thought..........

A lot of the "traditionalists" would love to see something, well, traditional (Nailhead, Hemi.....). But, after thinking about it, it's getting a built, solid lifter SBC/4-speed. Prolly around 400HP, which should be PLENTY in this thing. Anyway......Moon valve covers w/breathers, cross ram (2 Holleys with Cal Custom Shark mouth type scoops), Magneto, and Lakes headers. So, who's got my cross ram?

Huge improvement. The color is perfect, and at the risk of sounding non-traditional, I like the drive train selection too. Not all of us can be hemi or nailhead experts. Cool car.

It's amazing how much of a difference ONE change makes. That is a different car. Don't forget a SBC is traditional.

Not like the FNG "My Kia IS traditional" kind of traditional, but the "it's in most of the cars in the old mags" kind of traditional. Make that fucker WAIL!
