    Hi All,
Just did a compression test on a cylinder that I thought was giving me issues. I was at about 85-90lbs. What is the target number I should be looking at?
    Thanks Mike.

A couple of ??? Was the engine warm or at least ran in the last couple of hours? Did you pull ALL the plugs and block the throttle open. If no to any of the above redo. If yes to all check valve clearance and if tight retry. Should have about 120 min.if everything is in good condition.

Did you only test one cylinder? You might want to check them all and see if one stands out.

The motor was warm, but I did not block the throttle open. I pulled one plug at a time and tested each cylinder that way (all eight). Each cylinder gave a reading between 85-90lbs. Should the compression be higher with the throttle open?

Got to get air in there to compress it. Try it again with all the plugs out and the throttle wide open.
