I really dig the pictures looking through the windshield. You can almost hear the motor rumble. Thanks for posting.

probably one of the best parts about the Goodguys events,
they let you drive around the grounds
and leave and come back too

  8. Paul,
Do you know the current owner and/or history of the red 28 RPU? In 55/56, there was a red RPU named "Tinker Toy" that was in Eugene area. Have traced it to Portland/Vancouver area, I think the Gents name is Stan. Back then it had a 303 Olds in it with lots of chrome. Present owner alledgely has removed the Olds, but has kept it, installed a SBC, removed it and put a flathead in it. Am wondering if this could be the same Roadster from then. It was also used in a locally(Eugene) produced movie named " The Chartrouse Caboose" made by local tv cowboy celeb "Red Reynolds" Wife and I are moving back to the PNW, Whidbey Island area in the next year or so, good see things are still active in the PNW. We are headed up to the Whidbey Island area in a few weeks or so. Maye give you a call and go out for coffee or something. Thanx for the GG pics, Dave
PS: Your wife left out one of the important attendees ride, "Your Roadster"!! How about some pics of it?

I think she may be a member, ?
someone posted here that the truck was in a wreck not too long ago,
but it looks as good as ever now

we didn't take any pictures of mine
I see it all the time ya know?

  10. The red rpu is owned by Joyce "the Hotrod Lady". Her last name escapes me. I think it is Johnson. Super sweet gal that stayed active after her hotrodding husband passed away. It has NW history but I am not sure if it was the the Tinker Toy. There was a logo the cowl that said Cherrry Bomb. One of the neatest rpu's around in my opinion. By the way, Thanks Paul for the pictures. I miss being there for events like this. More pics please. Hope all is well with you and the wife. Dale

  11. Was her husbands name Stan, seems now like it may have been Stan Johnson. Does she live in the Portland area? Info I got was about a year or so ago.

That red rpu is owned by Joyce Johnson. Not the tinker toy just a cool old hot rod they have owned for years used to say Cherry Bomb and Full house before that on the cowl sides. The tinker toy is owned by Stan Ochs.

Not wanting to hijack but I pulled up a few pics of the truck "Cherry Bomb" from a Portland meet. Sweet truck. Thanks for the pics.

Paul- How about some pics of your roadster? I'm in the middle of building mine.

I was packing up to go when my shop dog of 13 yrs decided it was a good day to die. Looks like I missed a good show, but not as much as I miss my dog.

  22. Damn that A RPU is so perfect, dings and all! What an awesome car..........
Once again I find I have to kick myself for selling my old RPU project!

Oh? Another lost weekend.............................had a great time, good chatting with you and good luck on the secret 5-window. Don't let Dave have it. He'll just sell it.

I was disappointed, Doug. You aren't nearly as surly as I expected you to be.
