I'm 52 and just went back to college for my MA in Christian Leadership at Kentucky Christian University in Grayson. I'm a minister at a small church in Wheelersburg, OH. Hardly a college kid!

It's been 30 years since I've been in college! I am finishing up twelve hours with 30 more to go. I hope to be done in early 2012.

It doesn't leave much time to work on the rockettruck, but you gotta take a break every now and then...

I graduated from UCF in 1998 with a Degree in Film / Animation and a minor in Asian studies with an emphasis on Japan. Lot of good that did me. I've been on staff at UCF since January 2001. I started my Masters in Spring of 2006 in Public Admin but it didn't pan out. I will eventually give it another try studying Art or Popular Culture. I'd love to teach Art or Photography, but that's what the public schools seem to cut first.

I'm a graduate student at UNLV. Rumor has it that I might have a PhD someday, if I get smarter than I seem to have been lately. Mathematics isn't for the weak. Sometimes I feel like I fit into that category, but it's a little too early to feel old; I'm only 57.

21 years old and about to transfer into Arcadia University's five year FineArt/Education program. This is all while paying bills and dreaming of starting my custom T-bucket project from a pile of sheet and a welding torch. Hahahaha I'm shooting for the stars five galaxies away.

Dude DO IT! And if you dream of livin' somewhere else, DO IT TO! If I could I'da picked up and headed west... Seriously, take it while you can.

When I was working on my EE degree, I'd say 70% of the students weren't "college age". Lots of older fellas continuing their educations. That's a real big deal at the crappy state university I go to (I suppose it can't be that crappy, I got a good job prior to graduating).

Thanks, flatford39 for welcoming us college "kids". :D I see that there are a few of us older guys continuing our education. (a sign of the times) I'm a 52 yr. old college kid. Was a machine tool designer for 25 years, but when it went digital in the early 90's, they started sending the work over-seas via the computer. Quite a while before manufacturing got hit. So...I'm training in the health-care field...I'm gonna be a nurse! It'll pay well, I can do it till I'm really old, I'll be able to find work anywhere in the country, and...they can't send it overseas! Good luck to all in their studies.

That's fantastic advice for EVERYONE in this thread... I'm a cellular network design engineer, it also can't go overseas due to field work. Keep that in mind when you go job searching, even if means a couple grand less a year, it's a cheap price for security!

  21. I used to be and more then likely will be going back to get my BA sooner then later. I got my AA in less then 2 years working my ass off.-Weeks

I'm also part of the college crew. I'm 21 and attend Mountain State University for Forensics and work at Fedex at nights to fund my car habit. Currently on the slab, a 1949 Dodge Wayfarer.

Turnin 33 next month, been off for a year, got two worthless AS's (one from Central New Mexico University and one from Florida Community College) and a semi worthless BS from University of North Florida (AKA U Never Finish)....

Trying to get back into the Federal Government (I like working FOR the Navy just not being IN the Navy) So I'm goin back next semester (few days away really) for my Masters (at UNF again)...all the while while working full time, jugling the fam and trying to get my 49 chopped, sectioned frame off build done..

I'm really excited (dripping with sarcasm) but am lookin big picture here...I've been trying to get into the Fed for three years now and only reason they aint hirin' me is cause I don't have a masters OR a second language....seeing as I have a hard enough time with english (as seen by my "I can't spell" moment a few days ago" I'm goin back to school.

Good part is that I get to burn the rest of my GI Bill up before it runs out on me...hell I paid for it (Monitarily and with my time) so I may as well get a free degree that wasnt really free...

Plus the chicks are for the most part are hot....hey I can look...

At 22 I fiinished my bachelors in psychology from University of Wisconsin - River Falls. Then I moved South and worked for the State of Georgia for a few years as a mental health case worker. I decided that I either needed to find a different career or become an alcoholic to survive. So now I'm 30 and working on a automotive technology degree from Central Georgia Technical College, so I can become an ASE certified mechanic.

Currently working on my '55 Dodge Royal more door project and tinkering with my '92 Pontiac Firebird daily driver.
