I was shooting the press preview at Meadowbrook Hall for this Sunday's Concours. I couldn't help falling in love with this 1932 Bucciali. The low roof line, long hood, big wheels and incredible engine is like a giant luxury Hot Rod. They're going to have a display of Drag Cars there also. You can get a lot of great ideas for your car looking at some of these rolling works of art. I doubt anyone on this forum will make their axle housings out of bronze. It's a very nice Hot Rod

that looks like a Voison (sp?) engine to me....Voison was french and so is the Bucciali. Absolutely beautiful car - the craftsmanship is beyond compare.

  12. i'm no expert and everyone's definition of hot rod is different.. that is a fine looking very artistic automobile but hot rod? I think not.. it's like asking if a BMW M5 is a muscle car.... Don't get me wrong i love the car but not a hot rod to me.. it's too pretty to be a hot rod

beautiful!! But ya what were they thinking with those bumpers? They don't fit with the lines of the car at all! Seriously look out of place

Does front wheel drive belong in a hot rod? That's where the power on Voison 12 cylinder is directed.

    Hot rod? I'd say no.

Beautiful, artistic, inspiring, exquisite, I would say a resounding yes.

  15. Hmmmm.....one-off coachwork by Saoutchik, front-wheel drive, Voisin V12 sleeve-valve engine....One of 6 cars built between 1926 & 1932...Pretty cool car, saw it at Pebble Beach a couple of years back.

Not a Hot Rod, but within the interest range of many Hot Rodders

    Yes. But not really "factory".

  19. Bad Ass? YES, Hot Rod? NO
It was a prototype car that just didn't make production. No one knows how many were made but there are two left in the world, that one and one still in France. They may have been the only two ever made.
Since a Hot Rod really is by definition, a production car modified for more speed and looks, this is not a Hot Rod. But I'd gladly trade my 32 Ford for it :)

  20. There were 6 built in total, the 3 TAV models, and 3 others, this one & the 'replica' are the only ones believed to survive.

Bad ass car, and great workmanship.
Body wise, it looks exactly like a Daimler Double Six.

Good hell, since its a super low production vehicle modified for speed, I think it totally qualifies as a hot rod.

That is probably THE most bad ass custom coachworks car I have EVER seen....incredible!

Just stunning. Thanks for taking those awesome shots and sharing Mike. Please do a whole weekends post on the HAMB once the event is over. I'm heading to East Tawas for a relaxing beach weekend with the girls so I won't be there this weekend but would sure like to see the event thru your camera.
