Wow, that 34 is really something! I'd like to know what motivates it and if you do have some more pictures of it please post'em.That A is also wonderfull, really subltle as you say, but?It looks to me like a bitchin hot rod and i dont see it fit in any of this thread categories, but then again, i might be wrong.Eitherway, details please!!!!!!! A link to a build thread if any, or some other info on it would be strongly appreciated. I suspect not only by me.bonez.

  5. Nice job Bob, nice job.

  6. Mr Shapes.
I'm afraid I have no pictures but I have two oddballs now. One you gave me and the other came from Scarliner.

You will be pleased to know that I was able to verify that the TD was the Ol' Man's car ( how bizzarr is that). Now if I can just get the Stude out of the garage. . .

BTW I wish you had captured the Goliath, I always liked those.

  7. Damn I have a straight axle 56 and I didnt see it...yeah good eyes

  8. So...ya have any better side shots of your 56

It's known as "The 15oz. Fuel Coupe". It's a survivor of some sort. No build info but some more pics of same.

Mike Demarest took over the 15oz a few years back and ran it until he passed away - last year, I believe. Don't know what's going on with it now. Chili phil was also connected with those guys...
I love that car. Was stoked about match racing the 7-11 coupe against it, when I was driving, but it never happened...

here are a few shots of the 56. Runs low 12's very consistantly. As with all my cars, it is for sale. So damn dependable, I hate to sell it. Street legal, too!

  13. The same year we got the skins for Ryans '38 you found an old TD with the doors welded shut @ a swap meet down your way. I contacted you and said it looked like the Ol' Man's altered. Me made arrangements for it to belong to me.

Someone hauled it to phoenix from your place. BenD picked it up there and hauled it to wendover then back to my place.

I've been collecting part to put her back on the track since then.

I'd had the TD on blocks about 2 weeks in my backyard when my now recently deceased little brother came by and said "Hey what are you doin' with the ol' man's car?" I told him I wasn't sure it was. He looked at it real close and said "That's it all right."

Then about a month after that Mom was up to visit. I hadn't said anything about tha car. I spied her out back as she made a turn around it, then just as I got out the door I caught her giving it a kick. She looked up a little embarrased and said, I've always wanted to do that.

Then the question what are you doing with Dad's car. I said I don't think it is the car, but its like it. She pointed out the welds on the doors and said she annoyed him into welding the doors shut after one poped open. She was still mad because he only skip welded them and she wanted him to weld them all the way.

Damn brother. I just hijacked your post. I'm sorry.

well not sorry enough to delete. :D

    Carry on.

    Wow....

    This makes me happy.

I'm so glad you ended up with it.

I had to argue with the guy to sell it to me.

He had a real chip on his sholder ( about what I dont know...)

He wanted to see it smashed up.
( there was a sign for 1$ a whack, and a sledge hammer leaning up against it at a local swapmeet )

Glad I was able to haul it out of there...

I'm even more glad that it found its way back home.

Did this start life as a 4 door? That rear window looks awfully long.
