Thanks! He is a 67 Ford Freak.

  2. I found this on an old family 8mm Film years ago and finally had the frame lifted from the old film. My youngest brother is gonna try to clean it up on
photo shop. Looks like they were getting ready for another Sunday afternoon @ San Fernando/"The Pond" They even had "American 5 spokes" on the trailer and the tow car (which by now was a "Honduras Maroon", black interior, '66 Caprice wagon 325hp 396/Turbo 400/3:31 12Bolt. Melanie Car2.jpg

  3. Some recent photos including our two sons (the latest Panneton Bros.)
my wife and I recently adopted from Ethiopia. Looks like they're gonna fit in just fine. The (black) engine in the car is the same slightly warmed over
350 that was in it when we got it back. I'll post some of the new "410 engine soon. Also the trunk shots are after I cut all the butchered sheet metal out. I'll post more after we're done replacing it all. The 12 bolt rear was there when we got it back. It'll get replaced with a Dana 60 as that was my dads plan back before the car was sold (3% more efficient pinion placement than 9'' or Olds/Pontiac. IMG_2120.jpg

  10. Believe me I would if I had em. One of the reason for this thread is to try and find anyone else with photos. I'm trying to get ahold of Dave Wallace who grew up @ San Fernando taking pics to see if he has anything. Dick Jones
"the driver" back in the day supposedly has a color photo @ San Fernando of the "ole girl" hangen em high, but has not been able to find it. I also started a show and tell thread a bit ago on San Fernando, but just haven't been able to find much. Thanks everyone for the enthusiasm its infectuos.

I am loving this thread!! It must be awesome to have your dads car back and working on it again. And that is one fine lookin' crew there to help carry on the tradition!

Looks like now you will need a couple more tri fives for the kiddos..........cause from what I can see in the photos they look like they have the caught the "Hot Rodding" bug and bad!!

  12. I already got my eye one a couple of "hidden treasure '55's" and we probably need a '57 back in the family.

  13. Don't be dissappointed in the "late model 410"er. I also have a '59 283 service replacement short block out of my little sisters '56 Delray that destined for high compression/high rev'n
292-301" action, and I've got lots of 5.86's for the Dana 60

Keep this thing rollin' . I'm in. I've found My neighbor's car's shell from from the '60s. We've got everything else still, but the guy won't sell us the shell. Gonna keep working on him. This IS Great STUFF!! Dan

  15. You can bet on it. It took a life time to find
it, and its gonna pound the 1320 again as well as be street driven. This is gonna be my friday car to drive to work (35 each way miles in So Cal. traffic). I'll post more pics when the interior sheet metal etc. is done.

  16. I almost forgot, great job on yours, I'm sure its an inspiration to many.

  17. I got a call from one of my nephews the other night on my way home from work. "Hey my brother is moving and he has an old boat he's trying to sell with no luck. He's decided to part it out and I thought you might be interested in the engine. Oh, what engine's in it? Its a 409. How much does he want for it? 500 bucks. Yep, I'll take it." Last night we got together to do the deal and as I walk up to it in the dark, I say, thats not
a 409. Sure it is, look right hear it says 409 right on the cylinder head. No!
thats part of the casting #. The engine is a 455 Olds. If you look theres a
big ole F cast into the block just in front of the intake. Whats the F mean?
It means you F@#K'd cause I'm not buying it.

It was a bit of a let down, but pretty funny really. Ric.

PS. Going next week to check the progress on the '56 (new tubs etc.)
    I'll get some update photos.

hey can't wait to see the new pic's man I just love your 56....

  19. I've got some new photos of the tubs etc. but can't seem to get them down loaded. I'll keep trying. Ordered the new Dana 60 last week, and will get new clutch disc and throw out bearing this week. Any one come up with any pics of our car back in the day. I keep checking drag cars in motion etc. I did find one of it in the back round of a "in the pits" photo of a front engine digger at Bakersfield, but its too small to realy enjoy. Just about done modifying the tunnel ram for use with the Q-jets and then we can dyno the engine.
