I've driven up and down this country road for probably 4 years checking for rattles and wind noise. I've never seen this car until last week when a farmer started cleaning out his field. He had cut down some trees and moved some***** and there it sat. Here is some pics to share with yall.
A little more info that i forgot to mention. The car was last tagged in 67. The lady that drove it past away in 68 and the car never moved from where she parked it outside. As far as price I think I did allright. It has a nailhead but im not forsure of the c.i. Could it be a 322? I dont know I have a 55 and it has a 322 in it.
Nice car, looks to be a Super model with the 3 "vent-a-portals". Specials had the 263 straight eight, whereas the supers and roadmasters had the original 322 Nailhead V-8's. The body seems to be in pretty good condition, but looks like alot of rust on the floors. You did good! Good thing I didn't see it first (we take alot of trips on I40 and pass Elk City) as I might have it now. Oh well good luck!
Yes she is a super and yes the floors are damn near gone. The floors were pretty much on the dirt. She had to be dug out. And if i still have her next time you travel down I-40 through Elk City you could see the old buick as i live right on the side of that damn highway. Reason i say if i still have her is because a good friend is really trying to pry her from me.
