My '53 sits in the garage for now. Need to fabricate some motor mounts, figure out transmission mounts, and swap the rear end. We'll be lurking at Goodguys Friday during the day and Saturday evening...

Is there a HAMB meet & greet, besides the grill-out on Friday night? Anyone know?

 

Was born and raised in Cedar Rapids Moved to Ok in 1981. Still go visit a couple of times a year. Miss it except for the cold & snowy winters

Hello from Des Moines!

 

Spencer, give us more info on the Pella show.

 

I am a club member of the Resurrected Tin and we put on the show in Pella. It is July 10th and 11th in Pella. The show starts on Friday evening at Lake Red Rock. We have an Elvis impersonator, food, giveaways, and games. Then on Saturday the show is on the city sqaure. The show and shine runs until 3:00 pm and then it heads back to the Lake Red Rock. There we have a band, dinner, trophies, and many giveaways. This will be our 30th year.

 

looks like sat at one o clock ! its on the main drag i believe , unsure of the exact name of the building though ? may want to check the other threads i believe malcom posted it earlier ! if i find out for sure i will post it

 

Yeah, we have a wedding in Ames at 4:00pm, so we can't make the 1:00... but if anyone will be around later in the evening we'll be there hopefully by about 6 and then stay for fireworks.
We were out most the day today and it was a good time. Started to rain just as everything was shutting down.

 

My grandpas 31 chevy coupe will be there

 

Ok so I just changed military units. I know drill out of Ames, IA. Next month I will be up there on the weekend of the 19/20. Maybe I can come and meet some Hambers on Saturday night. I'd love to come and chill with some people. Hit me up if your in the DM area. I'll drive to hang out because otherwise I just sit in Super 8 all night.

sounds like a plan i'm about 30 minutes away from there and recently had some other hambers contact me about a little get together ! if theres enough interest could throw sompthin together at my shop !

 

hell yeah. I'd drive over to your shop to hang out. I am coming the weekend of 19/20 Sept, 3/4 Oct for sure. I would definately come over if it can poss be held on those weekends.

 

BTW, hows your projects coming along, is that frame still giving you hell?

the frame is just a thought right now. I just moved to a new house. I am finishing two rooms in the basement, and need to finish the garage. All of my car parts are in my storage unit. I'm still buying stuff weekly though!!!

I should have the garage done in a month and the parts in my garage then.

I will definately be killing it this winter, attached garage so the wife can come out and check on me.. lol bring me some cookies or something.

I am a newbie on here from the waterloo/cedar falls area and the proud owner of a '59 fridge. I hope to have her all squared away by this spring and plan on driving over to Farley in may. Need some help with the steering if theres anyone in the area that would be able to help out I would really appreciate it.
