Big Olds has been a huge part of my existance on the HAMB over the last 7 years. Almost 100% of his miles have been done with my butt in the drivers seat and most of those miles have been documented on the HAMB throught adventure posts.

Even before I became caretaker in 2001, alot of HAMB members watched the begining of the build process in Rodder's Digest with Just Steve (RIP) at the helm. Makes me sad that Steve won't be around in a couple of weeks for me to call and share this milestone with him BUT I do know in my heart he's riding shotgun in Big Olds on this journey and smiling the whole time.

The HAMB is a HUGE part of Big Olds, and me. I've been trying to think how I could mark this milestone with my HAMB family and I came up with this.

I'm leaving at 4pm today on a cross country trip in Big Olds. Sometime over the next 20 days Big Olds' odometer will turn 100,000 miles. Your job, if you so choose, is to guess what town and state this milestone will happen. The prize for guessing the closest to the actual town and State is.... you guessed it!....... a HUGE box of cookies. :D

    A few hints:
Farmington Hills, Mi to B'ville Salt Flats
to Spokane, Wa to Missoula, MT
thru Yellowstone to Jackson Hole, WY
to Grand Junction, CO to Durango, Co
to Wichita, KS to Joplin, MO to
    Livonia, MI

and lots of points in between!;)

Everyone has an equal chance of winning, with one guess each.
Also the first person to guess that town and State, in case more then one person guesses the same thing, will be the winner.

Here's another HUGE hint, this is the mileage as of right now

VERY sweet of you and if it wasn't a two hour drive each way I'd certainly take you up on it but at this point I'm going to be pushing it to get from Missoula, MT thru Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons and to Jackson Hole in one days drive. Apprecaite the offer:cool:

Nope, only that dreaded I-80 to get to B'ville and then on the last day from the HAMB Drags in Joplin, MO to home. Two lanes the whole rest of the way.

....and when you turn 100k, make sure to be doing 100mph. An old family friend used to do that whan any of his cars turned 100k...kinda krazy

JefferyJames already took what would've been my guess and that means if we are right, he's first and he'd get the cookies.

So let me just wish you a safe and happy trip and my hopes that Big Olds comes through without any drama.

Livonia Mi, some time soon after you complete the trip. I don't think the trip will quite add up to 4420 miles, but it'll be close. What days you gonna be at Bonneville?
