  3. Pam isn't a bit weird having some of the folks on here basicly talking to you in the third person. I'm all for admiring ( which i do ) but come on people , clean it up a little. The person your GAGA over is now 30 some years older and wiser. You should be too.

    Interesting post considering your signature:
YOUR ONLY AS OLD AS THE WOMEN YOU FEEL

You either respect them,or you don't.

Beautiful woman then and now! I'm young but I still remember watching her. Says a lot about her when a thread takes off like this one! We need more women like her today than these manufactured fakes! Love ya Pam!

  8. Yes i respect the hell out of them and as far as the signature it was my late friends favorite quote so out of respect for him and to keep his tongue in cheek humor alive i use it as my signature. Nothing more, nothing less.

Thank you. I enjoy "conversing" with the HAMBers.

But may I just say this. I am pushing 56 years old. I don't look like I used to back in the 70s. I realize this fact. So could any comments about my physical appearance be kept to a minimum...please. There has got to be a bit more to my existance than my T or A.

Anyway...had a great time at the FCR 2009. Jake Crimmins was kind enough to share a bit of taped coverage of him doing test runs at Maple Grove in Jungle's car. He wore Jungle's firesuit. The one that looked like denim. Sure was strange listening to Jungle speak after all this time. And Jack "the Ripper" Rusin. A great crew member.

Gearing up for spectating at Maple Grove in a couple of weeks. We loved racing at the Grove because it was so close. Even in summer you had to bring an extra layer of clothing for the night time. And DON'T forget the blanket for the windshield. Always pitted up by the bathrooms next to the staging lanes. That was the high ground. The place was always packed. And after 3 runs it was across the street to the Bar & Grill. Typically Jungle would close the place. I created a hole in one of the fenders of our dually. Dumb ass. Didn't judge that distance well. Jungle was not amused.

I'll be lucky to be on the right side of the lawn for all the stupid stuff I do at 56. You still look good. Getting older is better than the alternative.

    The alternative...

Makes me think of that blue Vette. Jungle's last ride. We had it in Hollywood FL one year. The race was held up on account of rain. When it finally stopped they let the guys in the staging lanes run thir cars down the track to dry it off. No staging or anything. Just run the car down. Jungle thought it would be fun to run the Vette down the track. So we did. He pulls up to the line and starts lighting up the tires. The guy on the line went nuts. Started yelling at us. Jungle puts down the window and the guy realizes who is at the wheel. He laughed and waved us on.

Pam, I think it's safe to say that we who remember with great fondness, the sights, sounds and smells of 1970s Funny Car racing, are thrilled to know that you are well and doing fine, and we're humbled that you would visit with us like this and sharing the great stories about yourself and "Jungle".

Few people ever reach iconic status in any segment of society but, like it or not, you are a true icon of the amazing world of drag racing, and you uphold that status with a grace and dignity befitting you. And I thank you very much for sharing yourself with us over the years.

I wish you much continued success and great health! Thanks again!

    Hi Pam!

  22. Pam, Great to see you back. At the HRR Bowling Green, I meet "jungle jr." He was with a team that had two "JJ" vegas and a souvineer trailer. Just wondered if you had any contact with "jr" or that team. I think they may have been out of texas.

Hi Pam, ..star struck..you mention T&A..thats always good! but what i saw was this young lady down on the track , on all fours, how ever hot it was, or how dirty, looking under this ground shaking, LOUD monster to see what was leaking, broken.... to see if it was safe to finish the run. very few would put them selves in that position . and thats whats hot!!!

RIP Jack. What a character. And another who left too soon. Very sharp guy, I knew him for 20+ years, never knew the connection to you and Jungle.

LOL - the difference between men and women. Women tend to think they have flaws, and men tend to think they are all that. The oldest of old men can be walking down the street, beer belly, bald, hairs in all the wrong places thinking he is the hottest find for the ladies. You are the best, period, and you grace us with your presence. :)

Hi Pam, long time fan. Are there any films of you back in the day with your voice?
People's voices add to their character, make them more relatable (is that a term?).Are there any interviews or such around?
