Its real difficult to pull off a chop on a '37-38 Chevy coupe. Seems the quarter window always ends up awkward. But you nailed on this thing. I've always liked this car.

  7. WOW, how'd I miss this thread?

Keith she looks absolutely great. I liked the primer, she looked like a cloud blowin' along, the road..... But a great color choice, the dipped in paint look and those 20's... WOW.

Looking forward to seeing it in person, now that the monson season has passed?

    See ya Howard

  10. Kieth,
Just stunning! Any more photos of that unique hood opening arrangement, firewall and engine? Also would like to hear more about the power train and chassis.
    Thanks,
    Chuck
PS Will you be at the HAMB Drags?

    Hey Chuck,
    I hadn't seen this thread for a while, sorry I hadn't responded.
Not sure what your looking for for pics, but check some of the build threads I posted around post #79. There's probably more detailed pics before all the sheetmetal went on.
I took a few more pics for you of the hood hinge I put together, it works great. I haven't installed the latches yet, but it really doesn't need them.
The power and chassis details are all in the those build links, but it's basically a 401 Nailhead/700R4/9", Heidts Mustang bagged front/4-link sleeved rear, C'd frame.
If there's something in particular your looking for, let me know and I'll do my best.
    It's a 20 foot car that I drive the $hit out of...and havin a ball!
No HAMB Drags this year, but sometime I'm sure.
    Keith

    Thanks to both of you.

It's been a busy couple of years with other stuff since I first put the car on the road, but it's already got 8500 fun miles on it...it's a driver!:D

I haven't seen this thread for a while. I've actually gotten a lot more done on the car...vent and side windows are done, Sombrero's with Firestones in the front, interior is all done, and put a stock dual quad on the Nailhead!

Here's a shot Trent took when he was out here last year. :D
