I'd love to go but school here starts on the 24th and I'm a single father with a twelve year old. My daughter is starting 8th grade this year..............HAMB Drags 2014 here I come.

I'll be there with my 1962 fed 154 in wheel base blown sbc.Its been 30 year ago I raced a pro comp fed .BUT IF I STILL HAVE THE BALLS I'm going to try it again. Not looking to set the world on fire but have some fun.

Pretty much ready to start the new motor. Need to prime the oil pump and put the distributor in. Im going to run these headers for the track, I dont like the look but they have less back pressure than my cool lake headers with baffles.

 

Nevermind. Looks like my work trip is being bumped earlier, so I'll be missing the Drags afterall. Oh, well.

 

maybe we can move the drags to a different weekend...

Got the "in-out of gear" deal working over the weekend. It is now required by NHRA. Got the fuel all mixed up and ready,,,percentage to remain a secret, but lots of fire for Friday night is assured,,,, Have to wash her up some and load her up, but we are ready. I am also bringing the 1959 Ranchero tow truck this year. She is all but finished now and looking exactly like she did in 1959.

The slicks are mounted and DW and I changed the gears last night. The 5.00's feel a lot nicer than the street 3.50's. It'll be nice to not change gears in the parking lot this year. And behind the gas station at the Red River.

Not done yet, though. Got a new part in the mail yesterday. We'll see if it helps...
