Kurtis, that looks like Bob Sullivan's Pandemonium from Kansas City, KS., probably late 50's/early 60's.

    Thanks Tom.

The photo below is {i think} the car i'm thinking of although the car in TRJ i mentioned earlier doesn't have the extended rear like this one. It was shorter, probably up to the shoulders with a very small chromed hoop{or rollbar}. Could it be the first version? Thinking about it now it was probably Olds powered.

Thanks for those shots of SIR! I agree on that shot of Kenny and Twig, I haven't seen those cars in years.

You're welcome Unklgriz. Always on the lookout... anyone else have any? I wish I had earlier stuff, but it's all good.

More from S.I.R. The Samurai Warrior Mazda was fun to watch. Wish the guy wasn't standing in front of the Pinto... I also remember a Shotgun powered Pro-Stock type Pinto wagon "Gunfighter." I lost a great shot of it long ago.

Was there anything better than a summer night with "64 Funny Cars?" Fewer barricades. More halter tops!

Pics from the early 60's of the digger we just sold. Top one is painted as Goldfinger & the lower is the Bushwacker. Car hailed from Southern California & was built by Don Tognotti & is now restored & sees limited time out at the NHRR. If I can find pics of our old Nix car I'll post them too

  30. That shot was taken at Dallas International Motor Speedway in May of 1971,I THINK by Chris Graves,I can't remember. The car in the background is Don Wiley's "Plum Crazy" Charger, and I'd LOVE to see a full color shot of the car. Dennis Doubleday
