Here is a picture of an 8'-2" marlin that I scored at the spring swap meet in Midland. I bought this from the original owner who caught it in Acupolco in 1971. It came with a picture of the the man and his wife, posing with the catch, and a certificate of authenticity from the taxidermist.

And here is what happened to it after some body work, some metallic blue chromabase, some HOK limetime pearl, and a little bit of orange 1-shot

The pictures do not really do it justice, it is way cooler in person.

The paintwork was done by my friend Gary, "hotrodgary" here on the HAMB. After a total investment of $150.00 or so, I couldnt be happier.

Cant wait to show a pic to the original owner, if I should happen to run into him at future swap meets...

Thanks guy's, I don't normally comment too much because theres usually so many things that are great and only so many way's to say how much you love then but here goes. Anyone I didn't mention it's because my wife is hounding me to get off the computer!

    Nice illustrations Dart!
Ed, Your pencil work is nothing short of phenomenal

Ervin, DO IT... I'm already addicted!
Max, that's one of my favs of yours! See you soon.
Jeff I'm not sure if I'm more impressed with your skills or your speed. You are the fastest illustrator I know hands down.
