Just another old guy that is enjoying seeing the memories of his past. Was directed here from Nitromater and caught the picture of Scottie's Muffler roadster. I grew up in Fontana CA, worked at Fontana Drag City as a teenager in the early 60's, and remember Scottie's team with Mike Snively and then Billy Scott later. Loved those days. My brother is 9 years older than me and was involved in drag racing in the 50's. He raced with some guys like Archie Aeries (sp) from Colton and Mr Flathead Bradley from San Bernardino. Any ways, have seen many of the old cars that belong to members, and just want to listen in for a while to get my feet wet. I enjoy all things related to cars, have owned/built/driven quite a few myself over the years, and am still involved with the local cruise ins and street rodders.
I am in the upstate, Anderson County, with a Williamston mailing address. I am just up the street from Anderson Speedway. Vicki - Do you take that Caddy to any of the local cruise ins? My wife and I take my 39 to a lot of them, would like to meet up with you and your husband some time. Virgil Hartman
I pretty sure I have seen your truck at a few of the local cruise ins. I will come introduce myself next time I see it.
Treeshaker welcome from....Anderson!!! Look for the Cadillac at Texas Road House or McDonalds and introduce yourself. If I'm really unlucky, you'll see me with HotRodPrimer Gary

We meet up with HOTRODPRIMER and his lovely wife, Brenda, a couple times a year for some local cruise-ins mostly in the Anderson area. On the whole though we are not much for pull up and sit, we love the thrill of driving the Caddy to shows - Lonestar Roundup, Jalopy Showdown and the HAMB Drags are some of our yearly must do shows. The Carolina Rod Shop has a good link for local shows at: http://www.carolinarodshop.com/shows.htm Hope to see you locally, you can't miss the pink Caddy - HAMB sticker on the driver's side vent window.
Gary - I am sure I have seen your Cadilac also. My wife and I usually bring our 39 Chevy sedan, pearl white with copper pearl flames, to the Roadhouse and McDonalds. Missed the Roadhouse last Saturday, had to work late to fill an emergency order for floor for Bristol Motor Speedway. I will be at McDonalds on the 22nd.
