I need to buy some headers for 350 Olds. Jegs and Summit are almost identical in pricing, so I would prefer to go with the one with better customer service if I ever have any problems. Any comments?

I found that Summit is cheaper them Jeg's and has the same stuff. I go with Summit, they seem to be friendlier.

Summit. I've hadn't had any problems before. I never bought anything from Jegs, so I don't know how there customer service is.

Summit has my vote. Both are good, I have used both. Summit has experienced tech help, made my life easy a bunch of times. Usually get stuff in 1-2 days.

I used to use Summit all the time...then they changed their website so there's all kinds of categories and ways to sort things and it's just too confusing if you're looking for something quickly. Jeg's is so much simpler and makes more sense to me now. I've gotten all the recent stuff I've needed from Jeg's without any issues and very fast shipping.

Both are good parts dealers so i just compare prices from both and buy which ever one has the better price for the part i need. Jegs stuff gets to me faster and they always throw in hats and stickers for bigger orders.
I agree with Deyomatic that the summit website is annoying.
I looked up supremes on it and instead of having a page with wheels and a way to choose size they have a page for each size they carry.

    neither.

Support your local parts store/speed shop. What happens if they are defective or don't fit right?

You have to ship them back on your own dime.

Summit has my vote. Always had really good service with them. Nothing bad to say about Jegs whatsoever though.

I grew up in Columbus and lived about a mile from one of their stores. I went in a few times as a custom and usually did not get service. Needless to sat I did not spend my money with them and I would be more than likely to buy from Summit now if I ned anything.

I've never had a problem with either one but I can say that Summit reps on the phone seem to be more helpful when it gets down to specifics. Some of their parts are cheaper than Jegs

I would say Jeg's, I dealt with summit before, used to buy all my stuff there, then I had a problem w/a set of headers once and they didn't want to stand behind them. So I told them to take me off their mailing list. I went to a local speed shop (one I used to work at) at he used summits catalog for pricing( cause it was more expensive) so now I use Jegs when I have to. Mostly now I use Speedway or another local speedshop.

Definitely Summit. Great customer service, both in their store and over the phone. The last time I called Jeg's to order something I was treated like garbage, and it was over 3k in parts. I figured if thats way I'm getting treated before they have my money, what hope do I have once they have it. I dropped the order, called Summit and never regretted it.

I keep both catalogs side-by-side and order from both. Have purchased and returned items several times from both with never a problem yet.

I've heard that Summit totally screwed the racing team they've been sponsering...(because they had a losing season!!???).......hey, come'on...you can't win 'em all.

And I've also heard that Jegs is a family owned business...and are very generous, giving people.

just things I've heard...from a friend of mine who knows details like this. I know where I shop.

I go with Summit, had good experience with them. Jeg's kept telling me a back ordered part was coming, waited over 3 months never got it. Called the part manufacturer and had it in 3 days. Another time I got a part from Summit and it broke in transit, UPS was at fault. Summit had another one to me in 3 days and had a call ticket for me to send the broken part back, no questions asked.

Summit, they both handle mostly the same parts but Summits prices are consistantly lower and thier shipping is first rate. I usually get what I order 2 days after ordering.
