Like the look of it with the stock axle and wide fives. Not totally sold on the underslung set-up but it does look like it goes well with the car. Did you faux patina it?

First off, I want to say you do nice quality work, but I have some concerns about the front suspension. One is that there might be too much stress on the radius rods with the spring being so far back. Second, you may want to at least bob the frame horns past the crossmember to lessen the risk of bottoming out or worse. Especially with the weight of the Hemi and lack of ride height. I also don't see any provisions for limiting travel. Shocks could do this, but the placement could exacerbate the the first issue I mentioned. One option for this would be to make legs or nerf bars out of heavy round stock that Z's between the axle and centerlink, then over the axle. They wouldn't look to bad if you chromed them. Sorry, sometimes I can't help myself.
The spring is fine that far back. Don't worry about that. No need to bob the rails either. If it rebounds up that far, you need to work on the shocks, not the frame rails. Nice build, keep it up. Kevin Ooltewah Speed Shop
I was referring to the frame getting friendly with the pavement as it seems to be pretty close to begin with, especially in case of component failure. It didn't have anything to do with rebound. I'm also not a real big fan of underslungs to begin with, but at lest most of them have parallel leaf springs with the frame horns turned upwards and are a lot less likely to get hung up on something. I just thought his configuration could do with a little fine tuning.
I would leave the caps off but with the ford 9 had to run adapters looks like crap with rear caps off

great progress. the front suspension looks like it might hit when the frame bounces upwards, though ... i think the body color with the white firewall and wide-5 wheels looks terrific!
All these posts and nobody has mentioned the spring pack is backwards for the type of front suspension he has setup? Think about it, all the weight is on the main leaf. The other springs are just fillers in that application. Do not pass go, do not collect $20.
