Cool, Squirrel... I got a ton-o-pics too but I'm too tired (and warm from my sunburn) to put them up. We had a blast today... met a few HAMBers, too... good people.

    Back at it tomorrow! :D

Outstanding shots that truely depict how pure LSR racing still is to this day.

Thank God they didn't let the folks from Glendora phuck it up like they have drag racing!

Thanks for the pics! Oh, and how was the salt? Heard it's been getting better every year. How thick is it?

I saw the pic where you were taching 1,200 rpms-how fast were you hauling on the salt?
I bet you have an awesome overdrive in the 55?

That 1200 rpm shot was probably going thru the mountains. on the highway at 65 its about 2700. no overdrive...3.25s out back, switch pitch th400. The 6-71 blown 454 just hums along, getting about 11 mpg with the cruise set to 65 or so.

Salt was kind of wet the first couple days, it's drying out now. I don't know how thick it is, I didn't bring my drill and dept mic, sorry

Every time I've been there the depth was always a topic of discussion. If there was no dirt showing then it's all good.

    Squirrel,
    Does the "salt" regenerate itself?
(Didn't know they measured depth and such?)
Is thicker/dryer better for traction and tractibility?

Bet you pressure sprayed for hours on the underside huh?
