There was two guys running together out of Ohio both with modifieds. Chris Stanek owns the one in the picture that you posted. Very cool cars.

  6. Chris,

I don't believe that you don't have any build photos of that little car.

    Post some. Please.

This is one bitchen little modified. Chris started this modified from a 27 cowl which was a total waste. He cut the cowl off at the windshield post and the remainder of the body and doors were hand formed. The neat part is the back panel is from a 56 ford pickup hood. I watch this car build from day one and had the pleasure of following it to the NATS WHAT A BLAST! There is some many little things about this car that I could go on for hours about it. Great job my friend!!!!

Thank you for your find words. Both Chris and I had a great time driving to Louisville and enjoying meeting so many people from here on the HAMB. Both of us were blown away that the cars received so much postive feedback. Thanks again and sorry we didn't cross paths.

  18. Wonderful pair of little modified's. See how much better they look, and how much more respect they get with a bit of shinny paint and upholstery?

I'm in love!! That's got to be one of the best modifieds I've seen in some time. The partial homemade body just puts it over the top. To see one painted, polished and plated is refreshing in this current "rat rod" world. Kudos to the builder, a definite home run.
BTW, what's the story on the powerplant, trans, etc.?

Any more pics of the #5 car, looks like it has a nice aircraft inspired seat.

Chris and I built the seat to fit the car. What a pain in the put it was getting the shape right in the rear corners. We shape it over every piece of large pipe we could get our hands on (after it was finished I went out and pickup a slip roller. Wish we had it when we built the seat. But did come in handy when we built our hoods and other parts for the cars.)I can't tell you how many rivits are in the seat but there is a LOT!

  30. like all the previous comments....wow...

would love to see more, including a few build shots, similarly, as it's teasing me, what width is the front of the chassis/radiator surround? wheelbase?

Spot on, as much as I feel the whole 'bomber seat look' has been done to death, that interior treatment REAALLYYYYY suits the little beast, job well done.

    Cheers,

    Drewfus

    P.S. post some more photo's please:D
