And let's hope that they are Panhard Dynamic 2 1/4 litre Coupes circa 1937! Swankey Devils C.C. "Spending A Nation Into Generational Debt Is Not An Act Of Compassion!"
The Panhards I'm working on are only post WWII, but some of them are quite rare and the more I look at the Dyna pick up, the more I can see one of those as a gasser... but I have to finish my other cars first. Apparently I'm in no hurry as I got the first car I ever bought registered in my name for the first time this week after 18 years...
Hey Chirs, Le Shitrone lives??? Kool! Swankey Devils C.C. "Spending A Nation Into Generational Debt Is Not An Act Of Compassion!"
Not the shitroen, my chopped '58 Renault station wagon, I just bought a 390 Cad mill for it, just a big pile of parts for now...
The mark of a great custom is people wont realise just what you did to get it to look so darn fine. This will have people scratching their heads and drooling. You are a true craftsman, I bet its going to be hard to part with this masterpiece! Doc.
I was wondering about the build the other day thanks for the update. Love everything that your doing. Very kool!! Happy Trails, Mick
I can't believe I have never seen this thread before. Amazing piece of art!!! Can't wait to see more.
Thanks for the update! I've been following this thread since you started on this car and I appreciate you posting all the build pics (I believe there are around 80?), since you sure didn't have to!! You have been a huge inspiration for what I am working on, can't thank you enough.
ow i see you moved to france maybe you can build a cool custom out of a citroën traction avant LOL...
Just wondering if there are any more recent pics of this work of art !!! By far my all time fav HAMB thread!
Chris, you have some real serious talent and a great mind for seeing beyond the seeable! What a car! Work of art for sure. Bet the owner is one puffed up dude to own that. If I ever hit the big time, I'll have you build me a car, from scratch! Perley
Wait till you see the pics of the 35 3 window body I am currently digging out of an old farmers landfill (dump) been there for 50 yrs ! I also have a 36 Tudor body and bare frame , I will do a thread on the recovery when I get them home. This thread is my whole inspiration that something can be done with all the junk I have found...even got some 35 Ply front fenders but not as nice as the ones you used!! The 3 window is free, just the labour to excavate it, and $100. for the Tudor body and frame. I never thought I would be able to afford or have the opportunity to do a 35-6 3 window taildragger, now I know I can thanks again for sharing your build with us Chris!!
Finally some color The guy cleaning it off is the best painter I know of (If you read that I'm sorry for how things turned out 'bout your car)
woo hoo, progress. Thanks for the updates chrisp. This is one of my favorite transformation threads, ever. You and the rest of the crew made it something else entirely. -W
