looks like it was extended about a foot. bumper should be closer to the body. cool truck no matter what year it is,
I am very jealous!!!! That '60 Pontiac reminds me of the mild Kustom '60 Catalina I finished last winter for a customer.
Hmm......the interior says '38, the front end says '39. Maybe the truck was wrecked in the front at one time.
That's the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw the tailpan extension and the faded square in the trunk lid. Love to have it! Your pickup is fine! Good work!
WOW...really nice score...You must have gotten excited when you popped the hood and saw that mill sitting there!!...Those trucks look really solid..
Nice truck man! I am going to repeat what has been said several times before on this thread....I would love to get my hands on that Caddy!
Ok I just returned from the field 2 hr's of digging and cleaning around the truck so we could remove the wheel so we can get some tires on them so we can roll in the trailer.
Those Caddys were smething odd or unique, it always seemed to ME. I'm guessing, the SHORTEST Cads until they really downsized about '76 or '77. Almost LOOKS like they and the Olds 98 were on the same wheelbase ch***is!!! ANY HAMBer out there KNOW???
Been studying pics in my American Cars Spotter's guide and that Caddy grille is a '52, the rear quarters are definitely extended, but looks like some nice work. That would make a great car!
Nice PU and the built flatty is a bonus. I bought a '48 on ebay and when I went to pick it up the guy said I didn't have to take it as he couldn't get the hood open and couldn't guarantee if the motor was even usable. No problem............I like surprises. Got it home and it sat for over 3 months before I tried the hood. Got it open...........finally, and discovered a built flathead with Edmonds finned heads and a D&S intake with 2X2 94's. I havent taken it out yet to tear it down (too many damn projects) but i'm dreaming about finding a 4" merc crank and an Isky cam inside. Hey!.. if your going to dream. might as well dream big......right? Frank
You'd better snag that Caddy! If it's stock, it's a prototype! If it's a custom, it's a darn nice one! Snag now, investigate later! Good luck!
Caddy looks to be a stock '52 Coupe Deville that someone extended the fenders for Continental Kit... as was mentioned the faded spot is where the bracket would have been... Looks like kit may have been removed early on then bumper valance was added or replaced... Quarters have been extended and great job doing so... Would be start to nice custom or make people wonder what is different.
