I bought this 60 belair from my son a few weeks ago. I removed the chrome reverse wheels and installed a set of American Racing on it.Was this a good decision or not? Jimmy

 

I think it looks much better

I like the mags better myself too, who knows if Jamie gets it back he can change them back.

 

I like them, I've never been a fan of the chrome "smoothie" wheels that have the multi lugs and lack of cooling vents.

I like the smoothies on that car a lot better, I've never been fond of Coke bottle wheels anyway, maybe on a 70's El Camino but not that car.

I would swap the smoothies back on and I'd make those tires into wide whites. I feel like a '60 Chevy can still pull off the wide whitewall look, with the tailfins and whatnot.

I like the car. The wheels....whichever you like best...afterall its yours!

There's a 56 Olds 4 door hard top here in town I would love to have. I'd drop it add skirts and drive it.

I think this is getting out of hand. Did not try to fool anyone. I asked for opinion on wheels, If you do not like what he my son did to it move on. Just chill bro, we all do things to cars that the other might not like but as others have said it was his and now it is mine. He bought it at 16 years old and made these choices,I am proud he kept it american. Jimmy
