i have a similar story as an earlier post
found a bottle hanging in the quater of an oldsmobile
with a note in it saying "how long did it take you to find this"
bored assembly line worker with a sense of humour
also pulled a sbc out of a late 70s p/u
when i pulled it apart found old brittle paper towels laid out in the lifter valley

  4. When removing my rigs gas tank, my build card was folded in fours and tucked between the tank & one of the straps, it lasted 60 plus years!

When I bought my '52 buick they came with a heater coil in a box under the seat. Their was a slot with just enough room for a stout billy club. Needless to say that was a killer accesory for sure..

1898 mauser rifle with flip up sights in the trunk, shoots a 1 inch pattern at 100 yards, there was no key for the trunk, busted the lock out and it was in there

In '74, I guided my buddy to a '51 Hudson Pacemaker. After we towed it home, we were "cleaning it out" and found NUDE pix of the original owner's WIFE!!! No shit. What a friggin' laugh, those old B&Ws in their bedroom!!! Thanks for the thread. I haven't thought about THAT in 10 - 20 years!!! LOL

A 1959 planner, unused in great shape, in a junkyard a trunk full of.....educational magazines in a rotted buick wildcat convertable, and under the hood of a rambler american, a soft cooler full of pot. My buddy suggested we get rid of it and leave a bottle of Weed B Gone in it's place.

Alright, Pirate! I have to get this off my chest, or I'll wake up at at night with a cold sweat & those "all-over" body shakes!

I hate to sound like Joe Pesci in Lethal Weapon II, but you force my hand! Please, suffice it to say:

OAKY! OKAY! OKAY! The woman & the Hudson Pacemaker were both short-wheelbase AND low-slung, okay?

At LEAST, the Hudson was pretty.

Pirate, if you bring this up again, I'll campaing to get you suspended from the HAMB!

    Hmmmmmmmmm?!?!?!

Now tha I THINK about it, my buddy WAS a bit twisted. When I thought he three HIS pix away, could be he actually kept them. I COULD check, but I just don't want another BLACK-OUT across the whole Eastern U.S., should I reveal these B&W images!!!

I am a patriotic American, after all! sniff (and a ha-rumph! too!)

While going through one of the new arrivals at my dads junkyard I found a bayonett for a 1898 mauser. I let my brother hold on to it when I joined the Navy in 91, but he lost it.

It would take more thn a freakin raccoon to make me walk away. Grab a stick and poke him....they hate that.

  27. Build sheet for my '64 Mercury, attached to the back of the driver's door panel. some of it was missing, some of it disintegrated into dust when I pulled the panel (not knowing it was there).

This is not as old as the other posts, but when I bought my third rx7 (an 86) I found 4 used shotgun shells, about 20 22 rounds used, a paint ball, a couple of marbles, about $30 in change, a plate from a microwave, and in the side, a quart of 10w40.

I think the previous owner took the car offroading to a rifle range (there was about 1 inch of dirt behind the rear tires) and fired while sitting in the back of the car.

I'm still trying to figure out why there was the microwave plate.
