Would you like to compare how many World Champion F1 and Rally drivers come from Sweden compared to your little neighbor to the east?
Gotta wonder if a flatty oiling system will hold up to those kind of Gs. Sure they used to beat on 'em back then, but they also had another motor in the nearest junkyard.
Just another Pontiac "Darksider". Just a big ole' boat with some bark!!! Anytime you need a "Darksider" demo, just call, I'll break out the "Highway Enforcer" and let the ole' dogs run )
was that in japan? that was sweet. wish i had enough power to get my car to smoke the tires, or do that!!
nice driving for a chunky car, similarly part 2 with the rpu, that poor old flatty certainly was copping a floging.....not to mention the tyre quiting at the end...lucky he wasn't on the highway when that happened...
drifting? this is racing, they were doing that WAY before drifting came around, dirt tracking without dirt!!
Cool , but part 2 is the must see ...... <object width="560" height="340"> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/wPZz2wubBEM&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></object>
All i know is i just won a $100, my friend bet me a 50's car could never drift, i now have something to one-up him, 40's! (P.S. Yes i know he's a *****, he also drives a Scion TC)
those who don't study history are bound to lose bets!! how could he not know these old cars could do this? how does he think nascar drivers turned corners in the old days?
Nice!! That first video just gave me a **** eating grin! They oughtta post that on all the ricer forums to show them, again, that we started most anything that had to with cars.. Bummer about the second video, the RPU didnt look like it suffered any major damage judging by the last shot.
I would be down for some sort of Hot Rod drifting event, maybe even HAMB style (64 or older, no muscle). As for sponsors I don't know how difficult that would be, but for drifting why run Whitewalls? That just makes it more expensive. I would recommend anyone who entered the event have a full set of junky rims with a set of black-walls on them for competing and their Road set for driving home. It may be a crazy idea, but that's probably why I like it, plus who can turn down an opportunity to show the tuners up at a game they this is all "theirs."
when the drifting started getting big i wanted to build a 50s car set up for drifting.leave the body stock ,no crazy paint...it would have to be AFTER i won the lotto though...
NO! Rally racing is quite big there, and they got a lot of experience of bad roads to practice on. Hats of, for the Finnish racing guys.
