HI all, just a couple of shots to update you on the progress of my 42 ford coe. I have just finished the new grille. its 100% scratch built from stainless steel and features laser etched ford nose piece and all stainless mounting hardware. The rest of the truck is on a 81 chev dually chassis running a 350/350 combo with the engine mid mounted.

  16. Here are a couple of pics of a 1954 Chevrolet COE being built by a member of our car club. It sits on motorhome frame. Powered by a "built" turbo****mins diesel. He also custom built the air suspension for this retro motorhome. Note the cool Cadillac front bumper!

The rear "motorhome" section was custom fabricated in aluminium. The custom rear fiberglass fenders match with the boat tail design also. Made but not installed are very cool custom rear fender skirts which make this rig look even lower. The next project will be the cab upholstery and then on to furnishing the inside of this motorhome in a retro style to match the exterior.

Now THAT is unique; and a diesel to boot. Apparently, claustrophobia is not an issue??
Would love to have seen the build on this......

hadn't checked Russ' photobucket build pics in a while, but that RV-rig is coming together even better than I'd imagined!

Hi there.Great to see all the car buff's here!
    Been reading about the COE's.
    Great photos and talk.
    Heres one for ya.
    The GMC Futurliner.
As of now there is one for sale in the Depont Registry.
    Asking $60,000.00!
Needs about $1.5 worth of work.
Or try to hook up with the guy that has one,but no rear to it.
    Make one out of two.

Nice truck, I like the bed. Is the engine under the raised section?
