Took a few pics today, didn't make it to the show field in the little oval track. I always enjoy looking at pics so I thought I'd post a few for a change.

Great pics! unfortunately the pretty green 'flake Anglia went over on the top end.
Glad to see somebody appreciated our clubs pick'em-up enough to click a pic.

    Thanks!

Which truck? Are you with the Karb Kings?

The Anglia stayed upright and busted up it's front end (broke a spindle). That guys was making some serious power!

Thanks to you also 61 cad for some great pics. That Anglia is just beautiful. I heard the yellow Willys was quite a nice car too. Mike

    Mike:

The owner of that Yellow Willy's had a similar car stolen from him last year (almost the exact car). He reproduced that car in 13 months (he must have a had a really good insurance policy). It's a really nice looking car.

It really was a great show, hats off to Gary & ****ie Gore for doing such a bangup job of hosting. I am already looking foreward to next year, hmm maybe if i blow the dust off the nova i could...
The racing was incredible, that green anglia was ****ngit for sure, the S & S guys, BossHydro, just wailed. And good old Johnny Roca, the only man on the east coast who regularly does the burnout in one lane and launches in the other. You should have been there and you'd know what i'm talking about. How about Henry Butler? Not old school? Try driving thru tire shake and run into the 4's, he's well into his 70's - close to 80!

Henry was putting on one Hell of A Show!

Didn't see ya. Did you make down into the pits? Did you see Glen Teet's Poncho with Stroub Ch***is?

Afternoon Jay, we must've crossed paths and didn't know it. I had Charlie Fishback with me and he wanted to see his old Bounty Hunter car make a p***, there was a pic of it on the trailer. We left soon after that, it bothered him that he couldn't drive it any more. 'Golddigger' is incredible isn't it. John, Joe and Johnny Roca were messing with it at the track the day befor and got it fired up and putted around in it. I don't know how they resisted wacking it hard one time.
Speaking of self control, how about the Craig Hennege tribute at the start of the racing? Both of the 'Whoopee' cars idling down the track, i was told that the new car was actually being lettered on display at the funeral home for Craigs' funeral (last week i think). A bug or something got in my eye right then as i had to wipe it a few times. That was a powerful moment.

I remember seeing the theft reports on that one. Guess it was never recovered. Cool that he jumped right back in and built another. Thanks, Mike

I remember Craig and the Whoopee Car from way back when. Usually put on a great show and was a nice guy too. Shame he's gone but he sure left his mark with a lot of old drag racing fans. Seems like I always saw him at Aquasco. RIP Craig.

That Golddigger Car GAVE ME WOOD!!!

Sad to hear Craig had p***ed. When I was a young man, I remeber that Anglia being sponsored by Speed Unlimited. Then on Sunday I saw some 5.0 Mustang with a huge Speed Unlimited sticker.

I was looking for you, but never saw you.

Howard came by and spent some time. He got a call from Willy down in Richmond. Willy, broke his record at Bonnieville for his cl***. Cool Stuff.

I stop by the shop on the way home this week.
