    Guys...
I have been hearing about this car since I was a teenager...one of those it'll never be for sale, don't waste your time deals. Fellow hamber Hidden told me where the car was, and I have been working on this for over a year. I ended up buying the car sight unseen...with the exception of the grill & headlights sticking out of the shed. Fellow Hambers Skwurl & Hidden (with his wife) braved the skeeters and helped get the car out of the shed, which of course tried to fall 1/2 way through the extraction. The car hasn't been moved in close to 40 years...Has what appears to ba '56 model smallblock and a 37 Lasalle tranny, 53 merc. rearend. Original chassis, unsplit bones, does have juice brakes. It is a little rougher than I hoped it would be, but nonetheless I am happy with it...

  12. It says it hasn't moved in 40 years, maybe they built the shed around it.

And a second frame, floor, tank, and wishbone?

Even as rough as it is it is a very cool find.

Shed was built about 15 years ago....around the car. Church across the street complained to city and since there are no ordinances against untagged cars "inside", the shed was built...

Now THAT is a barn find, folks... A true old time hot rod, a desirable body style and untouched for 40 plus years!!

Anybody posting an abandoned 72 Chevy pick up as a "barn find" on the HAMB needs to step away from the computer right now.

The car looks worse than it is...top is solid with the exception of some rust in windshield header...The doors are great except for the the inner & outer lowers (patch panels will cover). Cowl is solid, has a perfect dash, almost perfect firewall, will obviously need rockers and lower quarter pieces, rear tail pieces. I have wanted a deuce for a long time...was considering buying a glass body when this came along, had almost given up finding one...I think my buddy Skwurl will post more pictures later...

Plans? I hate to say...is it a sin to chop the hell out of an uncut top?;)
