Great find and story. Get the body all fixed up set the stance with a little rake.Get it on the road and enjoy it. Doin' a whole car sucks up a bunch of time. It can be chopped later if you really want to do it. If you do chop it study Doyle Gammel's coupe. It's chopped more in the front and windshield is leaned back... Smokey
Nice find. Keep us posted on the progress. I like them un-chopped (and a chevy ) but hey...its not my car!
Well ... he must have liked the new CARE TAKER ... or else he would not have SOLD him the coupe You know he had plenty of chances to sell it before. I doubt seriously if he got the TRUE value of the coupe from the young, new owner. I bet the new care taker could easily sell the coupe and make a good bit of money. The church caused the previous owner ( old guy ) to build the shed ... not sell the coupe. Read the story.
That's unreal! Congratulations and thanks for the videos....very cool to see the 32 come out of hibernation.
Reread my text. Edit: "Caretaker" is almost an oxymoron in this case, seeing as the only "care" taken was done out of spite. Had the original owner had his way, the car would probably now be a pile of iron flakes.
That is a bitchin score. Did you take your lucky ass in the church (in the background) and put money in the offering plate? Hats off to you. Do what you want with it because its yours. What part of TN did you find that thing?
best thing Ive read all day/Week.......maybe there is hope for me....thats the shit I dream about. sometimes daydreaming, or thinking about it driving my car, or even trying to get to sleep. Congrats! that is the holy grail right there my friend! ---THE HOLY GRAIL!
I should have figured skwurl since your in Jonesborough. Dumb ass me. I'm sure you all will make a wicked ride out of it no matter how you work it.
If it weren't for a certain bad ass black 3w with a perfect chop and stance then I might not even consider chopping it!!!
skwurl ... thanks for taking the time to post these videos ... I literally got goose bumps when the car first emerged from out under the shed ... too cool!
Amazing... I live in Kingsport, work in Bristol, and i constantly look for shit like this and never see anything worth having. Youre one lucky dude.
If you do anything, at least leave the fenders. I think it would look good chopped but I've always thought they looked better with fenders.
The whole town was at the race that day.....while these three were unleashing a Beast ! ! ! What a score
Every time we start to think there just can't be ANY left, somebody turns up another one! CONGRATS, QuietWon!!!! Envious here!!! HOW MUCH did you say you paid? Wonder what they go for in "found" shape, nowadays.
I'd be more than just happy with that find, I'd literally be doing cartwheels around in my front yard! Congratulations!
