5Window, if you wait for Sunday you can help pick up trash with the boy scouts, that's all that's left by then. Like has been said most vendors don't even open os Sat. because of the car show. But lately they are closeing down at 4:00 in the afternnon too. Lots of club meetings and other functions going on at night.

I have gotten some really cool stuff that last day-hood ornaments, sand paper, hubcaps-one year a huge plexiglas sign that someone had made with their antique car on it-lugged it a long, long way in the rain, of course, only to find it wouldn't fit in my friend's trunk. Not sure hoiw I made it fit.

I could bring the photo album, but the car will stay home, never did make much progress on it. Will try to get it out next week for a local show. Anyone else notice that very little is left around the trash bins at the end of Hershey the last few years. here was a time when hoods and fenders and all types of unwanted items just got left there.

Yep, but I think it's better when it rains.I used to think comfortable shoes where the most important clothing item at Hershey. Anymore, it's waterproof shoes and a rainsuit.

I sure hope the rain is getting all gone. It seems it's rained every day for weeks, if it misses a day it rains double the next. Sure glad the whole flea market is on asphalt.

  7. Can't even wait, been ready for the last two months now. Me and the Oiler boys will be there on Tues, till Friday. Jet Mek, aka Al, dirty petcock, aka Jeremy, Nobodys hero, aka Mike ( congrats on your wedding last night!) and me... Mel.

We be in the Red field, we'll have flatties, Bangers, speedparts, bodies, parts, non acoholic beers, beers, lip gloss, spicy hot dogs, butt wipes, the whole nine.

Been thinking bout you 37 kid, as we always pass each other with fun stuff in tow. It's on!

    Best week of the year...

I wonder if someone needs to get things straight with Hershey Region before there is a "Sticker Problem". Doug could you ask someone? Here is what happened last year, an AACA member got his fleamarket spaces and arrived in a "Hot Rod". That car was his only car, and some "Official" desided that it shouldn't be in the flea market and removed his windsheild sticker. Once the sticker is gone you can't go to your hotel and come back the next day. We all know it is a meet for restoration types, but if a Hot Rod is your only driver and is NOT for sale than it should be allowed in IMO. Selling a Hot Rod or Custom in the Car Corral is not allowed and I understand that, but a driver hauling parts or collectables is a totally different thing IMO.

'37, have you ever tried to reason with a group of 80+'s? If you are talking about the SBC T in the car corral from last year, I think there was a lot more to the story then we know. I've never heard of anyone being denied access for a transportation car in the flea market. I do remember the guy in the old white field not being allowed to use his hotrod for display on his backyard buddy-type lifts. It was his ride in and out but they wouldn't let him put it on the lift, which he was counting on because of parking space. He was allowed to sell his Moon Equipped stuff, but they had a problem with the car. I will try talking to Skinhead.

Doug, I believe the car in question was the '32 Roadster of HAMBer SixCarb, he has the corner spot just down the row from you looking at Giant stadium.

It was actually his buddy, Louie. I think what set the guy off were the cheater slicks. Crazy!

If all works out, I think I have a spot for the first time after many years of trying. I was going to make a HAMB & Fordbarn sign as well.

I have a little stupid swap co. called Lazy 8 Speed & Sport. That banner & bus. cards may be up their flying too.

Maybe someone should compile a list of HAMB'er spots. Just don't look to me to do it for I'm to ADD to doing something that detailed.

Yea, I know the car. Let me check on it.

  13. I saw Zach in there with his older friend last year, one 29 roadster, one 30 roadster, both banger powered, both not for sale? Ask him his thoughts...

Roger's 30 roadster had the sticker removed in the middle of the night while he was sleeping in his motorhome, luckily he was issued a new one. I was hassled coming and going each day...not by the gate workers but by the golf cart crew inside?
We had "not for sale" stickers on them so as to not pose any problems, but it didn't seem to help.

    Zach

Ya think a square of glass one inch larger than the sticker Crazy Glued over it would collect a few fingernail tips? Not that anyone would do something like that.

  19. Jeff...My spaces are CT 43-45..Chocolate Field near Carpenter Bigtop. I should have room.

We got our info. these week. Same deal, stop by, say hello, have a brew or two.

I may bring some of my neat flathead stuff to sell/swap for those who are into these old lumps. I plan to do more hunting than selling so, I may leave my cell number at the spot.

    Orange field.

I agree, we need to make a HAMB member map for Hershey. I know I always appreciate friendly spots to store stuff while I shop or just a place to grab a seat for a minute.

Does anyone have access to a map(s) of all of the fields?

  25. Maps for all the fields are in the yearly programs. Can someone scan those and we can plot the HAMB locations? There has gotta be a good way to do this? At the very least we can post a list of Hamb spaces...maps notwithstanding. We could start a thread on Hershey locations only???

Ok, we need a computor literate individual here. If you go to the AACA home site, then go to Hershey region, then go to Fall meet there is an overall map and individual field maps. Maybe one of you brainiacs can transfer it/them here. Also there is an individual map of the field your spaces are in with your stickers if you didn't get them yet. Just a hint, better READ ALL of the do's and don'ts with the stickers. As I said, I'm at GAC 25, grabber blue Ford truck. Leave parts if you need, maybe a business card or name if I'm not there.

  27. Hey Bob...what are your space #'s:confused: Lookin forward to meetin up again!:)

I think I can do that. My only question is, have the fields changed at all from last year? It looks like those are the 2008 maps?

  29. The fields should be the same this year...I know an AACA guru...No significant changes.

The maps would be cool, then we would know the good stands to 'Triumphantly and heroically liberate parts from the evil capitalist pig dogs' that run them.
