I remember when we hit 50 members on one of the first editions of this place (before the crash and new numbers).....so I guess that makes me one of the cool guys with no life? Damn days of dial up and spending hours waiting for threads to load!

  5. good gawd, right?! half the damn time, I'd have to go get something to eat and come back when it finished loading...hahah. i remember the crash..

I`ve been on and off here a few times, remember getting flamed by Germ when I first came on as Kiwi Tinbasher.Actually made me think that it might be fun. Perverse, huh....Don`t think that was until`01, tho...Wonder if Ryan still has the old Bonneville poster I sent him for the new Garage in Kansas City......

I'm 101. In terms of relevance, probably 101,001.

Good to see so many familiar names posting in this thread.
Here's something that might spark your memory, the "Civil Rights Cruiser"...

    Aw shucks.

Seriously though, I check in everyday except the weekends. The quality here has gone up exponentially with the number of members. I miss the old days of back and forth bullshitting but as far as the gospel having been spread, it's been done in a magnificent way.
I'm inspired everyday by what I see here, it makes me want to be better at what I do and I can bullshit in my backyard anyway.

Funny to think back to what cars you had when you first found the HAMB, too.
Pretty sure I only had one busted ass project when I first found this place. Ah, the good ol' days.

Yeah!!!! Come back, we need your wisdom and your daughters... Fluck you round eye!! LOL.... How is the "glorious Imperial spark prug factory?"

I'm number 327... i remember coming in and feeling like a newbie for about two years. This place was rough. Whoever said that "he's a HAMBER" meant something that it doesn't now is right... I should dig up some "turn of the century" car show pics... I used to shoot about 12 rolls of film at a show for CKD before we went digital.

He's around, not into cars anymore, nor friends, he's got a new Geezer Glide Harley, mountainbiking and dirtbiking. He don't talk to me no more, it's kinda cool not having to deal with his newest fixation and lack of dedication. I bet you he's still a member here as Antibilly, one of several personas he has had over the years, now he's MikeD on his blog. I think of him sometimes, we did have a lot of fun.

I think Dr. Knobchieze was deleted.
