I'll be there in the buzzard coop. It'll have the dual quads back on by then, so breaking 12.25 will be my goal. I think 11's are gonna be out of reach for that little 327.

Did the 327 not like the Air gap intake and single Holley over the 2 x 4 setup ???

I'm not sure. Getting rid of the oil fill in the intake created venting issues. The PCV is sucking oil into the carb and oil fouling the plugs. Fixable, but I have that Holley and Air Gap for the '55 and the 406 is ready for them.

I cant wait to see that 55 of yours together and run.It sounds like its gunna give the 408 in my Dart a workout .I have a few mods for the Dodge ,like drag shocks for one.The shocks on it now look like they are older than i am.I am also gunna step up the jets in the Demon. They are 76's and 83's (which is what it came with).I felt a change was in order before Mokan ,but i didnt want to change too many things at one time.If one of my other mods didnt work ,i would be chasing my tail trying to figure out which one slowed it down.I hope this is whats causing it to level out way before the end of the 1/4 and causing the lame mph of 112 .My 7.39 in the 1/8 doesnt add up to the 11.71 .With the 7.39 in the 1/8 ,i should be crowding 11.50's .Im going 105mph at the 1000 ft mark ,but only gaining 7 more mph in another 320 ft (somethings wrong with that ) .Sorry ,i'm ramblin on about car shit again .My wife says i talk about carbs ,and timing in my sleep ...

  18. How is it that there has been NO smack-talk from Casey anywhere yet? what a slacker.

sounds like the Buzzard Coop sounds primed for a good year out there - that car, like DW's and Krupanut's (the Whistler!) are total fixtures at the DotDrags

Glad to see some new folks coming out of the woodworks too - the Super T looks KILLER!

The 406 is almost ready, the '55 is not. This will probably be the last trip down the track for the coupe. The '55 should get finished up before the Thaw.

Almost done. It'll be under it's own power this week but the chunk I'm assembling is another single rib stock case w/ even less gear.
I won't be building a race worthy chunk until I'm ready to race again & that may not be for awhile. Right now, my goal is to enjoy the car on the street while I build Laura's roadster.
I simply cannot afford to fix the coupe every time I break it AND build Laura a car.
    So...............no drag racing for awhile.
Still, I can't wait for the drags. It has ALWAYS been one of my favorite events!

Wont be the same not seeing the coupe in action ,but i understand what your getting at about breaking crap at every race and the costs involved.Im glad you got it into the 10's anyway before you decided to cool it for awhile.I bet you sleep better at night after that accomplishment ,i know i would.See you at the DOTD ...

I've got a top secret motor I just picked up. I might build a chassis for the Anglia and squeeze the motor in it. I'd rather build a Falcon, but I don't have one and I have this Anglia sitting here. Ah hell, I'll never get it done in time anyway. But I can dream!
