Just flipped a P.O.S Grand Am and in the trunk were about 15 new, in the wrapper text books. Was able to sell them back to the collage for $20 each. Made more on the books than the car…

Bones turn up all the time there. The Japanese refused to evacuate civilians, and told them we would kill them and eat their babies if we invaded.

When we did invade the island, many thousands commited suicide by jumping off cliffs and were never buried.

Not terribly cool, but I discovered that the long gone owner of an old truck I used to have REALLY liked carefree gum from back in the 80's. I swear there must have been over 100 wrappers under the carpet :D

Just bought a $150 1950 truck off ebay (only bid), disassembled but pretty complete and not much rust.

The original owners manual was still there. Reads like a shop manual. People used to work on their cars. Imagine that.

How about "WEDDING GLITTER?". Had the 66 Pontiac for six years now and I am STILL finding little wedding bells, Stars, Hearts and CRAP!!! Took us DAYS when we first got the car to clean that stuff out of there, it was EVERYWHERE! To top THAT some of it was caked in dippity dew!!!! Try cleaning THAT off the vinyl and still keep your lunch down!!! Now you know WHY our Pontiac has indian blankets on the seats!!!!!!!

When I was 15 I bought a 58 Chevy pu and while cleaning under the seat I found a brown paper bag with what seemed to be a considerable sized roll of paper Mexican Pesos and some coins.
Since the truck had no brakes and I was not old enough to drive it anyway, I raced down to the bank on my stingray bicycle only to be disapointed to find out I had about seven dollars worth. So much for the 409 & Muncie 4spd plans:rolleyes:

  12. After i bought mine and got it home, I went through it and found a receipt dated August 18, 1966. The reciept was for two TV tubes, and the tubes were under the back seat right next to the reciept.

2 finger lid in the glove box the day after buying and driving a car home over 5 state lines. I suppose some might find this cool... and/or lucky. It is without a doubt the most interesting thing I have found in a car.

About 1948, My brother were rabbit hunting, came across an abandoned mid 20s Chivvy relic sitting in a dump. Under the seat was a huge quantity(to us), two dozen sacks, of rolling tobacco, Bull Durham, Golden Grain, spud. It had gotten wet so had lost some of it's flavor, but was much better than smoking used up coffee grounds and corn silks.

When I pulled the interior panel off of the driver's-side door of our '53 Crestline (been in the family since new in '53) to put in new door locks a few weeks ago I found a $1 Silver Certificate in the bottom of the door dated 1957. Something to frame as a keepsake I guess.

...I also checked under the back seat next...just to make sure there weren't a million more stashed back there...;)

Nothing "too" exciting. In an Ohio '64 Fairlane parts car under the front bench seat was an old, red, filthy dice keychain that reads "Circus Circus". That casino opened in '68.

Wife has it on her purse now.

LOL! 29Nash, our friend Baileigh must not be of our generation, buddy! My dad & mom cme up (to smoking age) during the '30s, and they'd laugh about some of the stuff -- coffee grounds & cornsilks, both included -- they and their buds would smoke when they couldn't afford any tobacco. They said those corn silks BURNED yer throat, too!

  22. usually rusty bolts& bloody knuckles though I did score a "How to Drive for Women" booklet from a 61 lark that blew up in front of a parts store I worked at...he scattered it dragging a Chevy on a road that is now wide, paved and 'respectable' Sad

I just purchased 1929 ford coupe from a lady 2 weeks ago and was cleaning it out last weekend. When i removed the seat and then removed the original panel under the side window beside the seat i found a hotel room key and tag bolted to the one of the screws behind the panel. It said Milner hotel room 502 Norfolk virgina. So i contacted a employee for the virigina historical society after i couldnt find a Milner hotel in Norfolk Virgina and they informed me that the Hotel was built in 1906 as the colonial hotel and it was very elegant with hot and cold water for each room, steam heat and an elevator. They informed me that the hotel was changed to Milner hotel in 1934 and then changed to a differnet hotel after that and eventually was tore down. The hotel key and tag looks very old and is still legible. I left it bolted to the car, i think it gives it that extra mystery and imagination of why some one would hide the key. Ill post pixs of it soon.

Oh yeah! it was human. In the 60's there were still a lot of reminders of the terrible fighting that took place there. We figured it was from the war. After taking some pictures, we turned it over to a group that dealt respectfully with such things.

I found a piece of ass in a car just last week!

Bought an O/T car with a bad waterpump from a girl I'v known for a few years. It was gonna be $800+ for a shop to fix it. She decided it wasn't worth it and sold me the car for $200. I figured I could do it for $40 if my time was free, then flip it for $1200 and make a quick proffit.

So I'm cleaning it out, and I find a little something she left behind.... It takes batteries and it's the kind of thing a very lonely woman would use if she dont got a man to satisfy that "itch", if you know what I mean. ;)

Two days later, she shows up and says she thinks she left some stuff in the car.
"Yep, you sure did" I said with a wink and a big grin, and she instantly blushes. :D

We chat for a few minutes... She's single [so am I] and lonely [Hmm, me too] and she cant find a decent guy, but she's got "needs"... I'm a decent guy, but got burned on my last relationship, so I'm not looking for a relationship right now, but hell, I got needs too!

She got her toy back... I got a friend with benefits!

  26. Not exactly HAMB friendly, but a friend of mine was taking the transmission out of the Dakota R/T that he had owned since brand new and saw this...

Yep, what we smoked that was really harsh was what my brother and I called 'Indian Tobacco'. A tall single stemmed weed with zillions of small leaves all protruding in all directions around the stem. We would pull them out of the ground and toss them on the barn roof to dry out, then strip the leaves off and crumble them up. The stems were really stringy and if you seperated the fibers while still green it was like strings. The leaves rolled easy, burned much like tobacco, and tasted nasty. One time our dad saw them up on the barn and asked what the hell we were doing. My brother told him that we were drying them out to use the stems to tie our 'fort' together that we were building. :D
