In the far lane is Jack Ditmars Der Mini Brute "Altered". NHRA considered the car an altered and not a an injected funny because its body was of foreign origin; German Opel

 

Near lane is the yet to purple hued Mondello and Matsubara Fiat, far side Gabby Bleeker

 

Haven't contributed anything in quite a while, and I hesitate to pimp my own car, but I just found this shot from 9-10 years ago. One of the pre-Hellzapopin versions of the coupe. It only lasted about 6 months before I crashed it.

that was earlier friday afternoon....this one put him over the edge. no bracket racing anymore , now he wants a fuel car....

 

I've taken better pictures but i will blame the size on getting used to a new camera. pretty decent cars though-Nanook getting the better of Pure Hell in aa preliminary round at Norwalk last Saturday.-Jim

 

I was there...I was in the first section of the pit stands. Just being there for that historic (quite possibly the last time they ever pair up again) was electric for me!!!! Gave me goose bumps...who cares about the pic size...good shot!!!!
