Well, finally made the jump to a new addiction. I can't just work on cars anymore, now I have to tell the wife I am cruisin' the web for more info about vacations and such rather than trying to find the next dream ride. I am originally from Michigan and with a move to Maine was missing the automotive know-how of the old school auto workers, but Maine has a lot more field finds and yankee ingenuity. I am currently helping Gigantor with his early 276 Hemi out of a '53 DeSoto for his early Es***; and believe me its the most fun I have had in years! Its good to find people building and keeping these dream machines alive!
Orono?! UMO grad right here, '90. Is Dysarts still there outside Bangor? Is El Cheepos still in Orono?
Hey! greeting from another Maine guy. We are working on a 1941 international 2.5ton truck for my buddies carpentry buisness. We installed the running gear from a 1986 3/4 ton GMC 4X4. Next is my 41 ford truck. Nice to see other people here in the sticks. Ever been to winterport racway? Peace,Curby
Greet'ns from another Maine-ah! Theres a two day (Free) Fall Foliage run in central Maine (Oct) If anyone interested PM for details. Its a pretty good event... Pontiac Slim
Howdy Steve, welcome to the Hamb. The good thing about New England is you get plenty of time to work on your car in the winter, it lasts all year! Just kidding, I came from Vermont long ago....
