I had a great time agian this year. I first would like to give a big thanks to Bad Bob for organizing a great cruize in along the coast. You can not beat driving the coast in a roadster. I apologize to those behind me who did not appreciate the open pipes as much as I did. I unfortunately did not get any pics during the drive in. I would also like the thank Trophey Queen for another great show. A big thanks to go Kiwi Kev for another great pig roast a mini car show. The wife and walked the show and spent some good quality time talking with other HAMBers. I will show only a few of the pics I took in this thread trying not to show the same cars others have shown. Here is the group of cars that traveled in with Bad Bob. Here are a few cars that interested me. One great looking Chevy This is probably the best looking customized Chevy I have seen. I really love this car. There is something about early 50's Pontiacs I just love. First Place Hot Rod. Congrats Chris
Nothing better than a couple of pretty women in front of a good looking car. This is one *****in g***er. This si one great looking Sedan This is the epitome of custom Speaking of Mercs, here is another great one. This one came in with Bad Bob's Caravan After the show we drove over to Kiwi Kev's. Had a great time. Good People great food, wonderful host and the best personal shop I have ever seen. Here is a pic of a great host. Very interesting 1932 California plate number Yummy Dinner This is what happens when you add car guys and a pig head. All in all had a great time on Sat. After leaving Kev's the Wife and I drove up to Solvang and drove around in the roadster to a couple of wineries on Sun. It was a great time being in the roadster through the country side. Here are a few of of our trip. We ate in Los Olivos for lunch Here we are at BlakcJack Winery This was a long rough road into one of the Conyons where we did most of our tasting. This was at Keohler Winery. Had some pretty good wines there.
We ate dinnner at Cold Spring Tavern. An old stagecoach relay station from the mid 1800's. They had really good food. It was a great place to eat. Not to mention it was packed when we got there. It is obviously a popular place. The drive through the hills on our way from Los Olivos to Cold Spring Tavern in the San Marcos P*** was so nice I had to take this video of the drive. http://s799.photobucket.com/albums/...ountry 2009/?action=view¤t=MVI_4089.flv I will try to figure out how to imbed the video here as well. As a history buff; that mid 19th century stage coach station, is just plain cool!!!! Thanks for posting all the pic's!
Cold springs tavern is great place to cruise to. Always car guys and bikers there with some nice rides...Awesome tri-tip sandwhiches. And cool rockabilly and blues bands from time to time.
I have always admired Kev's fab skills but any man that can cook a bbq in a white shirt takes it all to another level....
The tavern is located at 5995 Stagecoach Rd Santa Barbara. It is right before to the bridge on 154 from Santa Barbara. The road is on the elft as you are heading North on 154. It is a really cool place with great food.
