    Love that '59 - I woudn't change a thing !

Here's my '61 Coupe de Ville - a work in progress that is currently undergoing a paint and body facelift by a fellow HAMBer, and the interior is across town getting laid out with some OEM black vinyl and Gila Monster in the trim areas just for flavor. The motor is the orginal 390, punched out 30 over with a Tri Power setup off of a '59 Eldo, Delco rebuilt 2G's on top. Color will be a "Light Ice Blue" metallic in a few weeks...hopefully.

I know there are some Kellison HAMB fans out there (including Ryan who's posted some good brand history) and real fans don't exactly call this a kit car. It's more like a "handmade/everything fabricated car" since all you bought was a body with doors and no parts - everything was scrounged. (There were some leaf-sprung Kellison chassis made but pretty rare these days). Anyway, here is mine. A 1964 Kellison Astra X300-GT originally built in Camarillo, CA in 1968 and now my garage project. Body is a real highboy sitting on the frame rails so I'm thinking rocker panels to cover the frame sides. Four pipes out the back look cool so sidepipes not an option. (original owner had 'em and said exhaust smell inside cockpit was bad). Chassis is a 1965 Corvette C2 with I.R.S. and upgraded 1979 C-4 suspension. Rebuilt '69 Olds 455 has a mild Lunati(?) cam, Edelbrock intake, is plumbed with Vintage Air and sits 16" further back than stock 'Vette motor position so weight at each wheel is roughly 640 lbs. Trans is a newer after market L700R4 with overdrive. I'm currently grinding out/re-glassing stress fractures and reshaping fender flares. last week I replaced tailights with dual '39 Ford lights. Interior features '69 caddie tilt and Corbeau seats. Next phase is a dash redesign using the digital gauges - which have grown on me. Rewiring will include new lights up front as soon as i bring in some $$$$. Bracket racing slips from 2001 indicate 13.4 quarter mile times.

Here is my work-in-progress... Getting front end steering/suspension components together. My son picked a dark red color so I bought a little spray can of touch-up paint and shot 1 piece to get an idea.

A lot of sick cars out there!!!

Here is my 54 that I am working on. I purchased all stock, then the 235 took a hike and I swapped in a 350/350 and camaro 10 bolt all in my driveway. I did my own exhaust that I took off a camaro. I did have help from friends. I plan to bag it or just a super nice static drop with some helper bags in the rear, shaved the rear door handles and gas tank door. Paint it and drive it!!
