do you guys remember this thread http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=50877&highlight=sectioned+hollywood+knights
Well newbie if you did a little reading you would find that the HK movie has been discussed a bunch and that Denise is one of the most loved and respected members on the HAMB. Picking a fight with her makes you sound like a snot nose punk that doesn't have the balls to say in person what you'll post on the net. No cookies for you!!
Yeah coming from the person who has "Newbie" typed under there screen name. Ha good one, Thumbs up there Fonzie. So what if it got brought up again, who cares, there so many people on this site its bound to happen with ANY subject. And if you want to start KNIT PICKING shes the one with the attitude who just HAD 2 say something dumb and couldnt keep it to herself, while others were happy talking about it again and sharing info. Its just fun to just laugh at it. Peace Now to more important things.....
While you're renting movies about hot rods and then hopping on the internet to "blog" about them, she's out putting real miles on her Olds all over the country. And if that's the way you talk to women, don't give up that Blockbuster membership anytime soon, because you're going to need it.
One of my favorite movies. If I am in the garage, chances are that this movie is playing. I watch it a lot, even if I am not paying attention to it I like to have it on in the garage.
the novel stretrodder..read it as a kid, there was a line in the book they used.."car sike" or "car phyce" think meaning, one sick for a car.. " yaa but at least i'm not car sike" oh man that was a long time ago!!!!!!!!!
Awesome movie. Picked it up years ago in a bargain bin for like 5 bucks and used to watch it every night in high school. Pop it on the tv and fall asleep to happy dreams of Hot rods and Michelle Pfifer. Haven't seen it in 6 years or so. Wasn't there a scene where some Hot blonde Chik gets caught with her shirt off while the guys are all up in a tree. LOL yeah i think it was this flik.
This was a good one ( Hollyw Knights ). Like Graffiti my fave scene is the intro shot of the car . Is it available to buy ? More a truckin' movie, my fave is 'Wages of Fear'. At least I think that's what it's called. The one with the truck full o' dynamite. Teriffic amount of tension in that movie.
Not that Denise needs me to defend her but... She has more posts than most because A) She has been here longer than most . B) She gets to more events than most . C) She takes hundreds of photos of everything and everyone and posts them D) she has more intersting input / responses than most do. E) Last but not least , she has many more FRIENDS than most do .
I'd tend to agree. Yes it's a fun flick to discuss, even if done before, yet there's no real reason to respond as he did to anyone, least of all Denise. Do that in person it'll be at your own peril. Sadly the anonymity of these boards can remove what a person really is and the spirit of their comments, but not the case with that response Kustomline. You were dead fuckin wrong, like it or not. But I dig the movie. And BTW the response to "Is this piss yellow?" is not Tony Danza yellow. That's the late great "Loner" himself saying "It's Tony Nancy yellow!" hard to believe serious car guys missed that all these years.
the elcamino was a 65 id love to get a copy of the movie also , when it came out on dvd i fucked around too long and missed it shoulda bought it on site i love the 61 starliner that jimi shines wife pulls up in would like to see more of that car i have a softspot for 61's "what do you get when you cross a donkey with an onion .....a piece of ass that brings tears to your eyes" newbomb
I don't know if you guys caught it in the movie but when they were racing the Cobra against the 57 the old man had to keep feathering it to keep from blowing the 57 completely off the road. The old Oriental bought that 427 cobra new and still has it if rumor is correct
Ever wonder why we can't have cruise nights like that anymore? I really miss those days. Just imagine the hell those pledges would catch running around these days.
The movie is one of my favorites. The only way it could be improved would be to replace Tony Danza with an actor.
