A sleeper sounds great, but I've already done that! A dedicated track car is what I'm after right now, then work on making it barely street legal or something would be fun. And I just can't see myself piloting a moredoor!

Shame on you Danny! ;) I would never tell him to quit something he loves so much. He hit his goal at the HAMB Drags so now we'll build mine and then he'll make his comeback. haha I've always asked him to teach me to drive the coupe so I could race it - you can imagine the answer to that.

Probably best not let Laura drive the coupe. She'd probably show me up:D

Laura ,we know who wears the pants there !:D

I have a friend that did . He told her to use the foot brake and not the trans brake , she launched it on the back wheels for the 60' and almost ran the same times he does !!

You guys crack me up! I cannot even imagine trying to drive the coupe down the track. I would just stall it I'm sure.

And yes, happy is good, really good! :)

Is that an offer? WOW!!!! I cannot even imagine. I'm too "chicken" though at Little River. Maybe next HAMB Drags. I'll have to wear a diaper though. ;)

Looking forward to seeing you again Terry!

    Cheers

I hear ya, don't want to get into the 4 speeds vs. automatics debate, all I know is automatic = 1 second off your Et , There were a lot of fast 4 speed cars at the Hamb drags. I was just thinking of DW's coupe with a glide ,easy in the 9"s and L.A.W. could also drive an easy 10 second pass, WOW ! Like I said no debate just thinking !

LOVE IT Dennis!!! I tried, tried, tried to get him to build the coupe as an automatic when the car was being built, but you see how much my suggestions mean. ;)

I don't understand why my roadster cannot be at least an 11 second car. I'll go for the whole role bar thing and other safety measures. How cool would that be? I definitely have a lead foot and the need for speed. Just ask my parents who paid all my speeding tickets when I was a teenager! :D

1 second off your ET with an auto ,doubt it Dennis.Depends on how fast the guy with the 4 spd is .An auto uses more ponies to run it .Maybe in a best and worse case scenerio a second could be close ,but it would have to be a guy with a deformed arm shifting the 4spd half drunk ,with a Daytona Shifter, versus a guy with an air shifted lenco to make a seconds difference. Not debating ,just cant swallow that.I dont think my Falcon woulda picked up a second with an auto .Cant just through a statement like that out there and not expect a little static .Auto's are usually more consistant though and easier on parts (footbraking not transbraking). Check this vid out if you think manuals are inferior .I run an auto now unfortunatly, but manuals can hang in the hands of someone in the zone ...
