    Hello friends!
As many of you may remember, Kevin Tully, (aka Ray Gunn) the owner of Hot Rod Ch***is and Cycle out of Addison, IL, the good folks of the HAMB and the Addison VFW all got together and supported my Army unit last Xmas with a lot of Hot Rod and Cycle inspired care packages.
I got the honor and privilege of taking the contents to four bases in Baghdad on Xmas day and p***ing out everyone’s generosity. It was a great time and made for a fantastic thread here on the HAMB, a real good news story, if you will allow me to say. I know a lot of troops were shocked and elated to receive your gracious gifts.
Our time in Iraq is almost at a close. Our base is called FOB Justice, its small compound that juts out into the Tirgris River almost like an isthmus in the NW corner of Baghdad. Saddam Hussein was hung here. A friend of mine, and additional benefactor of your packages, Trip Johnson, and I have been scratching our heads wondering what we can do to show our apprecaition for your generosity.
Trip and I got together and found an Iraqi metalworker, Ahmed, and commissioned him to make the “Key to FOB Justice”. Our Company is nicknamed “Hammer Company” and our logo is the upper half of a skull with two warhammers crossed beneath it. We had this design incorporated into the key.
So, in an effort to show some appreciation to Kevin and members of the HAMB, Trip and I are driving our F100s (59 & 61) to Morris, on 9 October for the Hunnert Car Pile Up, where we aim to present Kevin the Key to FOB Justice in the presence and company of HAMBrs from around the country. We look forward to seeing everyone and thanking you in person! From left to right is myself, Ahmed and Trip.
Wish us luck, and may the machine god grant us a break free trip! Cheers!
